Where is Jordan Hasay planning to go to college?

How many World Youth medals did Webb win? Also, "Well, she's definitely not going to "suck," but I'd bet that she'll go the way of prep phenom Melody Fairchild who actually did end up competing for Oregon... decent in college but nowhere near living up to her "purported" potential. Hasay is nowhere near as good as Webb was. She'll have to improve A LOT to reach the level he was at in high school, and she's been improving at a snail's pace since 8th grade.

My wife says somewhat similar things about the school.

Mission Prep is a pretty good school and she is a pretty good student within that elevated context. I doubt that she will have any trouble getting into any school that she wants to (with the possible but not likely exception of CalTech/MIT/Harvey Mudd).

Also, running does not take up much time as compared to many sports. How much time does it take to run 60MPW? That is on the order of an hour a day -- of course the amount is a bit more with specific training intervals, cross training, etc., but it is less than most sports, especially as compared to swimming, with which it has the greatest similarity and swimmers routinely do quite well academically because they manage their time well. I would be stunned if she was not good at managing her time.

That will be the most important factor...

Predicting HS phenoms is not an exact science, and female phenoms seem to be even worse.

Grant the young ladies Ive seen come and go locally are not JH talent, but there always seems to be a "great 8th grader" that never gets much better after their freshman year of HS.

What ever happened to Kathy Kroeger the little skinny girl from Tennessee? She was did big things and then I haven't seen her in the results lately.

So she will announce her decision today at 2pm PT and it is going to be surprising. That certainly leaves out Stanford. Probably Oregon and Washington as well.

I sure hope she didn't pick one of the Tier IV Arizona colleges. Perhaps she did some secret interviewing outside the PAC-10. Univ. of Michigan might be a good fit for her. Possibly Princeton or Duke. Hopefully not Colorado. That's my two cents.

There are five "official visits" listed. Isn't there a limit to how many she can take? I mean...would she go to a college where she didn't make an "official visit?" I'd say a couple of teams on that list would qualify as a "surprise." I personally would be surprised if she went to either of the Arizona schools.
