Dude didn't "stomp" Kosgei and Sigl was running as hard as he possibly could. Kosgei jogged the last 100 when he realized he didn't have it that day.

get it through your head, sigl is in better shape than kosgie, he can handle the fast pace, and he did beat him fair and square. I hate how all you people from out east are still making up excuses...If sigl would of lost we would give kosgie props cuz we know how tough sigl is so obviously kosgie is also a beast if he were to beat him. Just give it up for sigl
Dude, I really don't think the previous poster was suggesting that Sigl *wasn't* the best runner on the day.
Of course Sigl won "fair and square." What was in the previous post that made you think the poster was suggesting anything different? Paraphrasing, he said that Kosgei realized that Sigl was too strong and so he (Kosgei) backed off...
He said Kosgei backed off after he realized that he didn't have it THAT DAY. Implying that had it been a different day Kosgei would have beaten Sigl which is completely untrue. Sigl would have won Nationals 10 out of 10 races. If it was a best of 7 between the two of them Sigl would have swept. Bottom line Sigl is the better runner.
i dont see obrien doubling at nationals.
too risky despite his talent levels.
Say Butzler, O'Brien, and Sigl all run the mile indoors, who do you see coming out on top?
Butzler was really the only runner to give Leer a challenge last year, Sigl was runner up his freshman year in the mile, and O'Brien has his 1:49 800 speed. I think that would be a great race.
Willey, don't be an idiot. To say that Sigl would win 10 out of 10 times against the top contenders is not realistic. Sigl is a tough runner and won fair and square, but to say he would win every time is not realistic.
did you even read my post?
Man people are so freaking sensitve, RELAX! I wasn't implying anything. Dont worry your golden boy won nationals I wasn't saying that if it was a different day he wouldn't have. I was just saying Kosgei wasn't "stomped"...and if you were there you would have seen that the margin of victory might have been skewed by Kosgei jogging it in. Thats all I meant Im sorry if I got all the Sigl lovers all riled up. By suggesting he didn't "stomp" his competition.
you know who is going to stomp his competition is that BUTZLER because he's got so much LEGSPEED. I'm SERIOUS. you can't get 20th at d3 NATIONALS without a lot of LEGSPEED.
Did you finish higher than that at Nationals?
What are the qualifying standards for indoor and outdoor this year (2008)? I can't find them online.
indoor standards here:

Jogging in shows Kosgei is not a good competitor, Sigl takes him every single time. Sorry your "Golden Boy" got his ass handed to him and didn't have the competitive spirit to bring it in hard.
Your post just makes my head hurt. I never said Kosgei was a good competitor he may be the greatest competitor or the worst I don't know. I didn't say Sigl couldn't take him every single time no one on earth knows that.
So basically you are just saying Kosgei isn't a good competitor, then in the next sentence you blow me away with the genius that he doesn't have competitive spirit. No way! You think someone that’s not a good competitor doesn't have competitive spirit?! I'll be sure to file this with the redundancy department of redundancy.
If you have any other posts tearing down Kosgei go for it just don’t have them be in reply to me because it doesn't make sense unless their in reference to Sigl "pseudo stomping" him.
Dude...seriously...enough about Butzler's leg speed. Yes, it's good. We all know that, but by ranting on about it, you're making yourself look like an ass.
On another note (I think at least)...whoever suggested that Butzler would be a up there in the 10k should really think before he/she posts. Why on earth would he run the 10k (other than potentially as a workout)? His main event is the mile/1500 and he may possible consider trying to double in the 5k outdoor (DMR indoor). I would be shocked if he even ran a 10k this year.

This is ironic.
(The post you are responding to was a mockery of other posters.)
Who are you guys? Leave me out of this .....please! I'm just running as is Tyler. *shaking head*
I think people were just getting worked up about sigl because it seemed like there were more people on here before nationals bad talking the race, saying kosegei was gonna win...So, I would say it was a, "In your face" attitude, for those of you who are from out east who thought your stud was the best. But anyways lets get back to talking about track. Butzler will do DMR and the mile at nats...KAUl will do the 5k and DMR, and sigl the 5k mile. I think it will be a great mile, the greatest we've had in years at the D3 level.
maybe sigl wont do 5k/mile, platteville could potentially have a pretty decent DMR. put sigl on anchor with stangel (an AA in the 1500) on the 1200, im not sure about the other two legs, but you would think they could throw together something good.
