u can't compare Anna to Suzy solely on looks and performance.

Anna K played her cards well. She mingled with hollywood types and became a tabloid chick.

Becoming tabloid chick is what makes sub-talent hoes rich and famous nowadays.

Nobody really cares about men's swimming, but that olympic year comes around and your ultra time national champ who has a face to boot, Michael Phelps, is plastered on every billboard and in every other commercial. (point being that I have no idea how good he was before I heard his name, just that he was good and I rooted for him) The same could be said for suzy... I mean shit, look at Karno...

If Suzy had that type of national success to couple her world performances, not forgetting her hotness and girl next door personallity, I don't think it's that much of a stretch that she could have landed some major endorsement deals around the olympics in 2000, probably made her even close to a million, like phelps.

I don't know if Regina cost her the money, but she surely stole some of her thunder... oh man, wejo i'm just laughing thinking about when you blasted her at the press conference.... priceless..

Suzy's timeline of vast improvement and running sub4 and running PRs up to the 5000m in Olympic Year 2000 and then retiring pretty much at the same time Regina Jacobs got busted for drugs makes me question whether Suzy was indeed clean. Seems like she was on EPO starting at 1998 and got off it leading up to the Olympics. All of her PRs are from 2000. Lets also remember that Sydney 2000 was the 1st time they were testing for EPO and Regina Jacobs conveniently withdrew citing the Flu.

Is there really no tort theory that a lawsuit by a clean athlete could be pursued? I think that would be the real game changer doping wise. So long as dopers get to keep their ill gotten gains there is little rational downside to doing so, particularly from the East African countries where there's less opportunity cost of running.

Plus, Suzy’s coach Peter Tegen was a former East German.
