Still think smoking is a very costly addiction we all could do without.
I have been a lifelong runner, aside from trying a hit of grass, never been a smoker.
Two friend of mine with whom I hang out outside of Starbucks are smokers. Both are trying to stop, one needs to having suffered a small heart attack few years ago. He's down to something like 4 or 5 a day, only lights up if he's stressed.
A former supervisor of mine when I was once with the public service succumbed to lung cancer due to second hand smoke in the workplace (prior to 1990 before smoking in the workplace was banned). A LOT of co-workers were ALWAYS there EVERY DAY cigarette in hand. Actually it wasn't really certain if Harold DID develop lung cancer due to others' smoking or if he had a pre-existing condition.
