Who made up the Georgetown and American teams last night? Anyone get splits on these runners?

Wyner anchored for Cornell, ran a strong 600 to pull from 40+m back to maybe 20, then ran out of gas. Got the stick too far back to catch a VU or AU. He looked strong, though, and gave it a run, did all he could do.

Placing Mel Sheppard as the 1908 800 metre Olympic Gold medalist whould have been a bit better that timeshifting him 4 generations into the 1980 games. Maybe a Googlesearch of --Jimmy Carter and the peanut presidency -- might shed some light on that issue. Did all the messageboard badmouthing about Millrose honoring Little Marycause the NBC director to cut the pan shot of Millrose Stars just inches short of including the now blonde Mary???Evolution at work ---my mind has finally blocked out all sounds made by Carol Lewis, now the work begins on getting the visual part to follow along!!

they had a whole freakin' week to prepare. even if they were completely clueless a week prior (they shouldn't have been but it looks like they were), how hard is it to spend a little time on the internet looking things up and talking to a couple of people who actually know what is going on. you people are giving them a pass and acting like the announcers have other full time jobs and just got grabbed at the last second to do this meet. this is their job and they were pathetic at it.

You're right. They should be promptly fired and ESPN should just grab two new track commentators from the huge pool lying in wait to make it to the big time.

I didn\\\'t say Georgetwon wasn\\\'t a good team I just feel that having 5 sub 4:10 milers (they haven\\\'t all run under 4:05 yet) is not \\\"one of the deepest teams to come around in years.\\\" But whatever I\\\'ll give up this argument since apparently it didn\\\'t bother anybody else.

i think right now georgetown has

4:01, 4:03, 4:03, 4:04, 4:07, 4:08, 4:08, 4:08, 4:09 and without bumbi...maybe not insane but definitely very deep

Georgetown had Danny Harris, Brandon Bonsey, John Maloy, and Stanley Lagrenade. I don't know the splits.

heard splits, not exact but good estimates

Harris- 157.5

Bonsey- 155.5

Maloy- 154.7

Lagrenade- 154.3

AU team was:

Steve Hallinan (1:54)

Alex Caudana (1:55)

Brian McCabe (1:55)

Dustin Emrani (1:55)

Nova had,

Tully 1:56.1

Korich 1:54.4

Jenkin 1:55.5

Tully 1:53.3

And then on Sunday the Cornell 4x8 got spanked. The light blue CU took 1st at New Balance that ithica state school got 9th. Keep nuttin off Wyner and Cornell. WW > ROJO!Roar Lions Roar

Compared to the Super Bowl announcers these guys were great. My very young kids were making fun of the stupid comments made by the Super Bowl announcers. And they had 2 weeks (plus the 16 week season) to gain expertise on two teams.

Some of their comments make human hydroplane look like sheer genius.
