I don't whats more informative and interesting that article or some letsrun boners, who obviously are intellecually insecure, talking about non-standard english..
Wrong. You're intellectually insecure if you defend incorrect usage. The proper response to a grammar correction is "thanks" or no response at all.
Irregardless, alls am sayin is, everbody would prolly benefit from using standard English, or at the very least, colloquial phrasing.
Thanks Malmo. I'm only trying to raise the grammar/usage bar on Letsrun threads. I can see it's a losing proposition.
So...any more details about the terrible deeds supposedly performed by members of CU's track team?

Are you F***ing kidding me. You two have both made your cases, neither of you are very smart. Start a new thread and stop misleading smart people into thinking some actual content about the thread topic might have been posted.
What a doof. Start your own thread. What did you contribute?

I don't remember the exact details of the "scandal", but wasn't it Jackie that made the racial comments? Why would Pifer be pissed at Laura for something her sister did?
it was just a headline. i couldn't download the story. could you post the whole story from this site?
I couldn't download the whole issue either. All we know is that it had something to do with Facebook photos posted.
this has got to be the worst thread EVER. There are only a few people actually talking about what the threads title conveys. everything else is typical letsrun.com BS where someone gets offended so they go on a grammar-trip, but never have I seen it go this long...

In 20 or 30 years the OED may upgrade "irregardless" to standard English, and then those is the know will no longer consider him to have been uneducated, but rather, etymologically ahead of his time.
irregardless is a double negative. reagardless is really negative. but using one in place of the other, now thats just negative.
hahaha, facebook. little little people...
I was told the members who were kicked off were all 21 years old and doing nothing illegal in the pictures. As far as team policy goes, no written agreement or team rule was violated. On our team, we have pictures up on facebook because our coach would never punish us for doing something LEGAL!! This is all very wierd to me. Also, this extreme action goes in contrast to decisions by Mark Whetmore when UNDERAGE people were found drinking. Mark is very irrational and illogical as shown by how all the members kicked off were of legal drinking age, (which is all the facebook pictures are of), yet members like Jenny Barringer who actually broke the law by drinking under aged!, escaped unscathed. This seems to me like a hostile enviornment. I'm glad I don't run there!!

Who is Mark Whetmore?
Were they kicked off for drinking? That seems highly unlikely. Maybe we should get the facts before we start jumping to conclusions.
Well, actually, pulling out the "jump to conclusions" mat kind of sounds fun.

Yeah...
The PDF from the Colorado Daily has 7 pages. The Facebook Story is on Page 52. Why the top headline would be on page 52 is beyond me, but still, that story is not posted online. Someone help...

No, she hates Boulder so she moved away, illiterate boob.
Morals have decreased at CU since the Ziegles left.
Just gossips and grammar checkers. Two things that bring down this board. The newspaper site was worthless too.I learned in HS that irregardless isn't a word and then I moved on. A guy at work used it the other day and I cringed, but I didn't correct him b/c I wasn't on the internet and I am not a grammar checking boner who thinks mastery of grammar equals intelligence.

Yes, "runninghigh55" is clearly a moron and a loser who never ran on a championship type team on ANY level. Just because drinking isn't against the law for any random person over 21 in the US doesn't mean that it's not against set rules for being on a team that expects great results and therefore demands great sacrifice. CU runners and fans are also glad that "runninghigh55" doesn't run there.
