Sara Hall did run PR's this summer. Jennings did place second at USATF's. I'd say half their team did well this summer, and the other half, not so much. Still better numbers than Hansons.

In my mind Hansons has had a far superior year with much lesser talent (Boston was phenomenal). A much greater percentage of PB's. The Boulder Group also had a much better season than Team USA. The Minnesota group looked great and Coach Barker is the man. I feel that nearly every one of the athletes in Team USA would be better served elsewhere. It is sad to watch athletes fail only because of lack of direction. Hopefully Dobson and Hall and Buttry and the O'Neills will be given an opportunity to showcase their abilities. I just hope that they don't have to endure future failures before they see the light.

The California group will be dropped after 2008. The funding will be gone. I happen to think that is a bad thing. All of these training areas are allowing additional chances for athletes to continue in the sport.

After the trials in 2008 you will see a huge push by Nike to have all of their athletes training in Eugene. This will become part of their contract. Currently Vin has too much on his plate to make this happen, but after the trials it WILL HAPPEN. However, Nike will be dropping Meb at the end of this contract. This means that the 2 big draws (Meb and Deena) will not be forced to move anywhere. I know that no one on here believes that Meb will be dropped but I guarantee it. His brother has not been easy to work with and Meb does not sell like Webb and Ritz. I don't know if it his heritage or what, but Nike has already made this decision.
