You should stop being a fan, drugs are "legal" as long as you don't get caught.
I know you thought that comment of yours was clever and/or insightful(and that is why you wrote it twice), but, sorry to break it to you, it's not. It's dumb, really.
Why? Because ....
EVERY ACTION ONE TAKES IS LEGAL/NOT A VIOLATION OF RULES UNLESS.... THERE IS A RULE/LAW AGAINST IT.... *AND* YOU GET CAUGHT.
DUH!! C'mon. Is driving 100mph on US highways legal?? Sure.....lots of people do it......but some get caught.
Is murder legal??? Ask OJ.
Is vandalism legal?? I've broken lots of shit and never been busted. I guess it is legal
Is cheating in school a violation of school rules?? TONS of people cheat. Only a few get caught.
So OF COURSE drugs are legal unless you get caught. What you SHOULD be arguing for is a true war on drugs and a true revolution in teaching athletes right and wrong. Then.....the cheaters will still cheat, but hopefully less than before, and hopefully more cheaters will get busted. It will never be perfect. Sports is no different than the rest of the world. People lie, cheat, steal, and break laws to "win"/get to the top all the time. We as a society should do our best to stop such actions and punish the people who break the rules.
