"a small number of people here who state they never really ran and don’t have much of an interest in running at all."
That's like people who watch baseball only once a year during the World Series constantly posting on baseball discussion board.
Its almost certainly false. Maybe you can find a couple guys who only post in the politics threads, but I doubt it.
OP wrote "a small number of people." He is not suggesting there are many posters like that. It's just a handful of people who frequently post on politics thread and nothing else.

They also give dating and marriage advice while complementing Andrew Tate.
Following the lead of the owners. After the World XC Champs in Tallahassee, the owners didn't run in any of the community races that were offered on the XC course. Instead, they organized a bar party while the community races were happening! I kid you not.
Some people ran in the community races and still had time to get to the party. Some went to the party and ran in the races that were held on Sunday. I was with Craig Virgin when the community races started at the VIP tent and he made it to the party. Guess I missed a couple of beers. Time for two beers when I got to the party. Glad I missed Mask Off because I heard afterwards that he was in attendance.
In Tallahassee I made a point of giving those in the yellow shirts the side eye.
The owners do not exert much real control over their site. If they did, the content would be far more focused on running with far fewer tangents into other issues. In order to make money, they have allowed it to become a place where non-runners and trolls can come to vent, push social and political viewpoints. So long as you avoid being truly awful and abide by the rules, you can post about anything. It's like a tiny niche version of Reddit with more lax oversight.

That’s essentially politics. The manosphere is a conservative voting bloc, just a weird fringe one.
Because it's a place losers can freely post about politics, Motel 6, stupid lists about songs by that Enzio guy, dumb 'what can I run for 10k next week' threads, and a myriad of other worthless topics.
