I watched him do that workout on the grass warmup field. It seemed odd to be doing that workout 20 minutes after the regionals race in the dark.

He couldn't bring the underwater treadmill, what do you expect?
He's done people. I believe he went too far into the well and is afraid to go back to that level of pain in a race. Rupp has been ruined by Salazar and the Nike idiots living thru him.
I agree with the poster who said that Rupp should take the summer off from racing, and just take the time to recover and ward off any remaining injuries, sickness, etc. He has a lot of potential, but its no good if you run him into the ground.
i was actually surprised to see him at the pre meet. it takes some time to come back after hypothryoidism. goucher came back but it took him a while too. give him 6 months and he should be good to go.
a freshman who has run sub-8 3k indoors and 14:0x outdoor 5k is not overrated. Sorry, try again poser.
no, not really wrote:

And I don't think anyone said he was over rated, people said he was burned out, toast, finished, but not over rated. I don't think either is true. I think IF salazar is smart about bringing him back he's a top 5-10 guy in cross this fall. I don't think he can win it, but he's also better on the track, sorta like Bairu wasn't gonna win the 10k, but you can't beat him in cross country. Anyway, I guess we'll all have to see when the fall rolls around how he's running. Here is the current tally, he's had two outdoor, one cross and one indoor season for four total seasons, and he's been hurt or sick for two of them, that's 50%. In all the classes I ever took that gives you an F, so that's what I give Salazar so far on Rupp's collegiate career.
Shame about Rupp and Benninger. Can't wait to see what those guys can accomplish when they get away from the meatgrinder. If they get away unharmed.
