he seemed to have maturity when he ran an excellent paced 10000m on his debut. and he was in the middle of the pack then.

As soon as he buys that tent from Hypoxico.

weather forecast, perfecto
i cure see ritz going sub 27:30 but sub 27:20 no.....
i dont see him breaking 27:20 in along long timed...maybe when in 2015 who knows.
Interestingly, other than the Olympic 10,000, which we can set aside for many reasons, this is Ritz's first track race outside of the States.

So we should be prepared for the strange food and jet lag excuses.
Except for the 2005 World X-C, he has run very well in Europe: he just has not run on the track.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
When was the last time Ritz ran a track race in Europe, other than the Olympics?
There is not a snowball's chance in XXXX that it will go out in 13:55. I am not sure that there will be a runner in the race that will split the first half over 13:55. 2004 was not too deep, I would guess, because it was an Olympic year and this race was too early. However, this is one of the biggest 10,000 races of the year and there are few championship races of note. My guess is that Ritz will improve upon his PR, although he might push the line trying for 27:05-27:15 and fall off a bunch; it is probably worth the risk. If he succeeds, he gets invited to more European meets.
So what do you think the race will go out in? 13:28-13:35?
You might actually want to read the threads to which you contribute. He hasn't run a track race in Europe other than the Olympics.

It's right on their Website:
17.20 uur, Zondag, 28 Mei, till ca 20.45 uur, Zondag, 28 Mei.
danke schoen
Dathan, please simply make at least a modest improvement in your time, or else you will be mercilessly bashed by all the 33-minute 10K runners on this site.
I guess that the pacemakers will go out at sub 27min pace, Ritz should form a pack with Abdi and Dobson.
important to not that Sihine is not running (injured); maybe that helps the race.........rather than pacing being for 26:30-40, now it might be more helpful at around 26:55/27:00 pace. I'm predicting winning time around 27:10; best Americans low 27:30s....
I predict Ritz goes out in the 13:40-13:45 range and negative splits his way to a 27:20 +/- a few seconds.
