Like I said before, I have always been a huge Olinger fan, even before his 8:19 or whatever, but he is not THAT good; Solinsky is quite possibly the best NCAA runner this year, give him some props.
Olinger hasn't shown that he can take Solinsky in those flat events. But at the same time, 8:19 is better than any time Solinsky's run in his events, IMO. It could indicate some untapped PR's coming up for the 5K, 10K.
Check out this unupdated all-time U.S. list (Lincoln's run 8:12). Dang, didn't realize Croghan came that close to the record. But anyway, Olinger's 8:19 is some serious running.
