What were the times those guys ran? Any other good times?

It was really nice to see MIAC guys rail on Torchia and Forrest yesterday. Well done to Gleason and Erichsen.
yeah thats pretty impressive for gleason and erichsen, definitely a loaded field...it will be interesting to see who races what at conference. Has erichsen ever raced steeple at the meet?
numa numa ftw

Was there 30 mph wind or something? The times seem pretty slow across the board.
What makes you say that?

??
1 Gamble, Charlie Carleton 15:13.82 15:04.83
Also 7 MIAC guys sub 2:00, and quite a few decent races in the 1500, I can't see how you can say the times are slow across the board...
Also, yes, there was a strong wind, though not 30 mph. Maybe 15 or 20, though, against runners on the home stretch. The wind died down over the course of the night, and was very mild for the 5000, which was contested in almost perfect conditions, as the temp dropped as well.
Well, there were ten MIAC guys going sub-15 in the 5000 indoor. Gamble had a decent race, but not the case for anyone else. Nine of the top ten in the 1500 ran 4-8 seconds slower than seed times, no MIAC runners even close to breaking 4:00. Most of the 800 runners in the top ten ran slower than their seed times. Eckstrom and Springer were running 1:54.xx this time last year. I expected them to be shooting for national qualifying times, not running 1:57-8.
At the end of the day you can blame the wind or any other adverse weather conditions to compensate for the fact that you couldn't show up on race day. Every meet there are guys that run faster than their seed times and guys that run faster than their seed times. It's pathetic that so many people need and search for excuses as to why they couldn't perform.
That's true for all aspects of life.
Predictions for cutoff times for conference:
1500m- 4:20
5,000m- 16:27
10,000m- 34:35.08

What are you talking about? No athletes made any excuses. I'm 500 miles away and was simply asking about the weather conditions. Nearly all of the times, not just some, were slower than I expected.
I tell ya, people on this board are so histrionic.
st. thomas girls DMR second at drake today in 11:48 point
st. thomas men third in 4 x 8 7:39 point....very close to 2 oklahoma schools
histrionic? Seriously? What did you just take intro to pysch and wanted to throw out a big word, despite the fact that it does not really apply.
I tell ya, people on this board are DUMB. Thats a word that fits. especially you.
And boom goes the dynamite
HAHA. Boom goes the Dynamite! You are a funny man sir.
It's only a big word if you have less than a sixth grad reading level. It certainly has nothing to do with psych. I was referring to those who tend to be overly dramatic. The insults seem way out of proportion with the statements that supposedly trigger them. I've been out of college a long time, but I never remembered people being such snot-nosed brats then. But perhaps they would have been if they could hide behind anonymous non-registered names like some of the cowards here.
Back to thread:
Gina Relays
7 Erichsen, Chris 14:25.70
8 Fermoyle, Kelly 30:43.36
Oh, man. There must have been a huge gap in that race. 7th to 8th place over 16 minutes?
But seriously, nice race for those two. I'm guessing this might be the last we see of Erichsen and Fermoyle between now and the Conference meet.
Any predictions on what people will run? Will the weather play a factor in terms of qualifying for Conference?
