That's a pretty weak defense of Goucher (and yes, you've done nothing but defend them for the past few weeks, other than of course simultaneously convicting Salazar of running a doping program on some of the best US runners). You are saying that maybe the Gouchers did not "Do...The Right Thing" but yet you seem to totally have their back on that. Isn't this ENTIRE DEBATE about "The Right Thing To Do" ? Of course it is. I can come up with an analogy somewhat similar to yours and say: 'if you were in a similar situation to Salazar or Rupp, might you too have dabbled on the "dark/grey side" of things' ?

However, yes, all of that doesn't mean the accusations are wrong. But with the Gouchers, the accusation themselves are the 2nd part of the equation on why people are bashing them: they're incredibly weak! Please don't make me rehash the silliness of them, but they've simply got nothing. Thyroid pills for someone with a thyroid condition already on thyroid pills??!? Conjecture over a Rupp performance related to some offhand comment he made a few weeks before about his fatigue levels?! A strange story about a possible IV he probably never received? It's way more than 3 days since Salazar called her a liar. And she didn't have much to respond to. Salazar had numerous things dating back more than a decade and he tried to get details from outside sources. You need to scale it, she's sbiut 100 times longer than Salazar response time when you take that into account. Or when you take into account she already knew everything before he responded.

I've done neither of these things. I've done nothing other than point out that Salazar's various defenses, which some people here find curiously airtight (easy enough to do when your animus toward the Gouchers is sufficiently strong to free you from actually examining what he presented), are anything but airtight. I understand why people reflexively think that believing that Salazar will turn out to be shadier than anyone now believes translates into labeling all of his accusers pristine in every way. Nice mix here of hyperbole and workaday inaccuracy. There was nothing "sudden" about what the Gouchers did. Regardless, even if all of that were true, would it mean that Salazar is innocent of everything people have accused him of doing? Let me remind you that this isn't just "Gouchers vs. Salazar," it's "Many, many former NOP associates vs. Salazar."

You quoted a post I made on Wednesday, three days after Kara Goucher's first on-camera interview since Salazar posted his black-fantasy novella.
In that interview, she said that she first spoke to USADA on 2/12013 or 2/2/2013 and that she'd been in touch with them in recent days as well. And she's been presumably talking to them all along. She also said she had been virtually flooded with input from other former NOP members and associates, and had been encouraging them to go to USADA as well.
Clearly, she thinks that it's more important to deal with people who actually matter than placate members of the Halfwit Tribe by disclosing things she's surely not even allowed to say because if USADA's ongoing investigation.
So factor these things into your assessment of her supposedly abysmal response time.
Your math is arbitrary and your objectivity nonexistent. Trying to turn this into a contest of "Who's stalling more?" is just a sideshow. I'm quite certain that everyone involved, with the notable exception of Salazar, wishes that this were already over.
Finally, since all Salazar's "open letter" did was serve up more lies and distortions for people to pounce on, it doesn't matter one bit in the greater scheme how much time and effort he invested in assembling it.
