yeah, who the hell are you to call a 14:56 a bad race. It turns out that improving 1sec per lap is called peaking. You must also think Erichsen's 15:06 makes him inconsistent (which he clearly is not). The best thing that has ever happened to you is anonymity. Jack!@#
the johnnies just want to f#ck with gleason's head. i dont think he is an inconsistent runner, and if you look at this years results, you could technically say erichsen was more inconsistent. i dont want to hear the excuses about why erichsen didnt break 15, im sure gleason could come up with a million reasons why he barely broke 15 at iowa. nobody cares though. i hope gleason comes through and races that way i see im racing, as an all american.

Plus, Gleason has never beaten Erichsen.
Why don't you go check MIAC Cross Country results of 2005...tool. Both Erichsen and Gleason are amazing runners and will represent the MIAC well. Best of luck to both.
Marcia Taddy out of the 800 and mile: no eligibility left.
its already been discussed, she has a foot injury. She has eligibility. The NCAA wouldnt approve it then 2 weeks later take it away. People need to stop with the damn rumors. And what the f*** does Taddy have to do with the MIAC?
My bad, I wasn't aware of the whole situation. Here's the link to her interview on Trackshark that explains the situation:
-800: 5. Brian Sames, St. Thomas, 1:53.94.
--5,000: 6. Chris Erichsen, St. John's, 14:40.19.
--Long Jump: 5, James Ewer, St. Thomas, 23-2 1-2.
--55 Hurdles: 7. Taylor Ferda, Bethel, 7.73.
--Triple Jump: 3. Eric Buss, St. John's 48-2 3-4.
--Shot Put: 7. John Schantzen, St. Olaf, 53-3 1-2.
Good meet for the conference overall. Outdoors is not too far away!
anyone know if teams are going to spring break meets?

Ballinger provos in 400h---53.22
should be a sweet race to watch this year with PJ back that makes 3 all-americans returning including leither who took 2nd last year
Bump - so why do they only have the women's honor roll up?
pretty impressive day in the distances at the hamline invite, auto for erichsen and an impressive 1500 from ian campbell
How did the 5000 at Hamline play out? Did Fermoyle get out and grab the lead immediately? Nice race from Gamble, and Bauer and Kennedy ran alright too considering the wind. Noack and Lowder had pretty good opening Steeples as well (not to mention Erichsen). Was Erichsen out with Lowry?
Looks like Olaf had some good performances in the 1500 from O'Neill and Ruon, and Swanson rolled him teammates pretty good in that 10K.
I am almost positive Fermoyle grabbed the lead immediately and never let go of it.
Erichsen was NOT out with Lowry- in fact, Lowry had a huge lead (100m or so?) for most of the race until the final few laps or so when Erichsen began to close hard. Lowry went out way too hard. Erichsen ran with Gruenwald (not sure if he is still at the U of M or if he graduated) for the first 4-5 laps or so before Gruenwald dropped out for reasons I'm not sure about.
It almost looked like Grunewald was pacing Erichsen. At least when he dropped out he did not appear to be in any sort of pain, he just casually stepped off the track. Also on the first lap Erichsen went out ahead of him but Grunewald quickly passed him and they ran together through about 2k.
And yes, Fermoyle took the lead right away in the 5000, he was up by probably 20 meters on the first lap and ran the entire thing by himself.
plas is notorious for having his guys do local meets as workouts..hence only running 2k at probably 9:00 pace
The young ones are out the gate pretty quick in the 1500 this season:
Ian Campbell, Fr, 3:56.80
Wade Eckstrom, So, 3:57.42
Doboul Ruon, Fr, 3:59.31
Maybe this year MIAC will have a couple going to NCAA in that event.
That fast guy from UW Superior won 1500m with Gleason right behind, then Erichsen.
Swanson won 5K; no competition.
