Chicago marathon coverage

One would venture to say that your reading comprehension is as poor as the way I read defenses in 1987.

Key were works were ... "make it look." Also, between 10th place and 20th place, there were only seven Americans.

I am just hoping that Ron Mexico doesn't run wild on the Steelers this morning. He's due for a big outbreak.

Overall, I have to say the coverage from the website was excellent. Not sure why they didn't push a story about Olympic Trials Qualifiers, considering there were incentives in the race...ouch for the winner!

He has no excuse. He trained all year specifically for this race. Abdi trained all year for track then changes gears and decides to run Chicago to finish off the year.

Hanson's sets their guys up specifically for this race. It's their Westminster dog show. Too bad all they had to show were muts.

Having as many guys as they did, run around 2:15 is a very good sign. Just a few years ago having 5 Americans run around 2:15 in a year was a good year for us. Now we have several run around that time in one race and it is a bad thing. One step at a time my friend, one step.

Does anyone have results going through to 2:25 that they could post. Can't access Chicago results site.

Yes, comparing 30,000 joggers who will probably finish in an average time of 4 hours, to a guy that is sprinting down the home stretch and then putting on the breaks as he crosses the line makes perfect sense.

Kimbia report- chip of Cheruiyot registered, but controversy as to whether torso crossed the line. Sounds like it's definitely not clean cut.

How come Deena gets a pacer last year and Dita gets to run by herself this year? Too much controversy last year?

btw, calling Dita's effort "moronic" only proves how little you know about marathoning. She's got more guts in her pinky finger than you have in your whole body.
