Recalling his comments about McCain, perhaps Trump only likes armed insurrectionists who don't get captured.
I think Trump understandably feels let down by a lot of the insurrectionists. One after the other, probably over a hundred of them now, have expressly said that they rioted because Trump told them to, and/or that Trump misled them by claiming the election was rigged.
Trump feels a sense of betrayal. He put his soul into his presidency, trying to make America at least half-way decent again. But as soon as things got a little rocky, his highest quality men and women bailed on him like fleas in sheep dip.
Trump doesn't have a "soul" - only an ego. He didn't have "high quality men and women" but criminal associates.
The only reason he will feel let down by the insurrectionists is that they didn't manage to hang Mike Pence.

Cue SV saying, "But Trump said 'peacefully'!"
Yeah, once; and he said some version of "fight" twenty times. But SV ignores those. Reality can be very inconvenient when you're trolling.
The former president's remarks are being used by Democrats hoping to convict him for incitement of insurrection — and are being defended by his lawyers in the Senate proceedings.
In what universe is it okay for the FBI to encourage the media not to run TRUE stories that damage their political favorites??
In the same universe where people like you don't exaggerate and misrepresent the known facts.
In this Universe, we want the FBI to warn social media companies that Russian disinformation -- like the extensive 2016 Russian anti-law enforcement and pro-BLM disinformation postings -- may be in operation and to watch out for it. Which appears to be exactly what happened in or around 2020.
Facebook says they censored a factually correct story because the FBI told them to.
The FBI has a track record of lying to protect and promote their politics.
It is disgusting that you think this perfectly okay just because you don't like the candidate being railroaded.
Fun fact: This would be un-American even if they were doing it to the candidate you like.

An "attempted coup." LOL. Those protesters had flags - not machine guns. Insurrection/Coup 101 - Carry machine guns. DO NOT carry flags. You can't kill anyone with flags . Please read the following ... Insurrectionists carry machine guns. Protesters carry flags. Do not forget!
You're right in that you can't kill anyone with a flag but you could potentially kill someone with a flag pole. At the very least you could bash in the skull of someone with a flag pole. You know, kind of like some of the "protestors" were doing to some of the police officers. The same police officers that they claim to respect? "Back the blue." Yeah, right...
And what was up with so many of the "protestors" carrying zip ties? I know that I always carry zip ties around when I go in to public. I guess that the "protestors" had them just in case their flags detached from the flag pole. Zip ties can be used for all sorts of things and I'm sure that you could also reattach a flag to a flag pole with them.

No, they didn't. See my above comment about your constant exaggerating and misrepresenting facts. You do so with nearly every topic that comes up (e.g., May 11, 2022 letter to Trump). Blatantly. Then you get called out on it, and you just do it again as if nothing happened. It's absolute crazy behavior, even on an anonymous message board.
They absolutely did. The fact that you're so certain a fact is untrue is exactly the problem with the media today.
The Zuckerberg story isn't new. He was talking about the FBI warning before the election had even taken place.
The claim that he was told to suppress the Biden story also appears to be false. Zuckerberg has said that Facebook was advised that any dump of documents should be treated with suspicion, as it might be part of a foreign operation to interfere with the election. Not told to suppress a story on Biden. There was no mention of Biden at all.
Facebook didn't suppress it. The reduced sharing of the link to the NY Post article for a while until they had the story checked, then let it be shared as normal.

I think you need to brush up on the timeline and facts of this case and not just jump on a headline.
The Hunter Biden laptop story broke three weeks before the election. The owner of the computer repair store (a huge Trump fan) Mac Isaac passed it along to Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Rudy in turn shared it with the tabloid New York Post. They ran the story, front page.
Facebook limited the spread and used third party fact checkers for a week relating to the story but then removed them for the remaining two weeks before the election. So the story wasn’t actually suppressed.
A vague statement from Zuckerberg on a podcast, likely intended to grab headlines has been blown up by right wing mainstream media to undermine the FBI in the aftermath of Mar-a-lago.
If free and fair elections are your thing, Rudy Giuliani certainly wasn’t working to ensure them.
The review of the documents is already over. Indications are that the special team looking for and filtering out documents or communications that would fall under attorney/client privilege have been identified. But it also appears that most of what was seized does not fall under that distinction. No need for a special master.
The Justice Department has completed its review of potentially privileged documents seized from former President Donald Trump's Florida estate this month and has identified “a limited set of materials that potentially contain...

All of Social Media suppressed the Biden laptop story and smeared anyone who tried to get it out there.

Look man, I don't give a crawdad what Sweet Virginia says. The fact is that at least half (maybe more) of the convicted insurrectionists have pointed the finger at Trump, saying he misled them on the facts and/or he instructed them to riot. That has got to be disappointing for Trump to hear, after all that he did for these people. Where is the basic loyalty? Where is the love of America's manifest exceptionalism, guaranteed to a nation under god?
Trump loses in court AGAIN. A court says its done separating out any attorney-client privileged documents and it is very limited. Onward, law enforcement. Open and shut case. Book 'im Merrick.
the Justice Department’s three-page filing on Monday, noting that its review of the materials was completed, threw up a significant obstacle to that request. In the filing, lawyers at the department disclosed that its privilege review team had finished its assessment of the documents and set aside “a limited set of materials that potentially contain attorney-client information,” a requirement that was mandated by the original search warrant issued by a federal magistrate judge in Florida this month.
Mango Mussolini did what every strong and competent leader does when he needs to speak to his people... He sat on the toilet and tweeted out on his failed social network truth social. What did he tweet? Well he is explicitly demanding that he be named the winner of the 2020 election or an election redo "immediately". Totally normal stuff.
You would think the entire country would be united in laughing at such a pitiful display and fully embarrassed that this idiot was elected president. Instead a slice of about 20% percent of the electorate is eating it up. Hunter's laptop I tell you! Hunter's laptop!!! Deep state! Deep state!
Clean your spectacles. My post to which you responded specifically said that I agreed that it would be improper for the FBI to encourage a media company to not run a true story, so your question to me makes not sense,
I simply wrote that, while improper, it isn't a First Amendment violation. Lots of things are improper, and even illegal, without violating the First Amendment.
The FBI interfering in elections goes WAY beyond violating the first amendment.
But my comments were directed at your erroneous statement about the First Amendment in the context of the Hunter Biden story. Thus it didn't address other actions, inactions, or transgressions by the FBI, Hunter Biden, or Donald Trump and his minions.
