This is retarded, NYU is a good team now, end of story, they dont recruit sprinters etc. because they do not have a track, what sprinter wants to go to a school without a track.
This no-track thing has come up on these threads before. It's false.
I live in the NYU area and I know they have a track--is it like six laps to the mile?--on the roof of their gym. I've seen their guys doing drills and strides up there (at least I assume it's the varsity guys--they're definitely not recreation runners).
Moreover, East River Park has a 400m track. It's maybe a mile, mile and a half, away from the gym--a warmup jog, really--and I know in years past they have used it fairly often.
Anyway, NYU in recent years has had all-Americans in the sprints and hurdles and jumps (including a DIII champ in the TJ), so I'd say they do pretty well with the speed guys that they do get.
