We have been hearing for 5 years how he is going to prison and in 5 years from now you will be 5 years older and still saying how he is finally going to be spending the rest of life in prison. Just give it up.
Bombshell # 1,245 per the media
Except he doesn't have the elected Republicans who previously let him off the hook, he doesn't have a lackey DA protecting him and he can't hide behind the presidency......it's a very different ball game now for Trump.
He's not going to be indicted for the document issue. This will all turn out to be the records being returned by force and nothing more will come of it.
Just as nothing came of the Mueller investigation (at least concerning Trump), nothing came of the Stormy Daniels scandal, nothing came of the other 200 "scandals," nothing came out of the impeachment 1, nothing came of the impeachment 2, nothing came of the Jan. 6 Congressional hearings (how come we never hear of those any more?) and nothing will come of this Mar-a-Lago raid.
Trump and the Trump family have been surrounded by these issues (skirting the law) since at least the 1950's. They are legit issues that others would be charged and probably convicted for. Trump and his father were/are experts at remaining in the middle of yet outside the sole liability of the criminal/civil liability issues that both survived.
It isn't, as you imply, because there's nothing there.
They were carrying weapons - that was the security advice Trump was given. He did not want them to be barred from his rally. They also took a noose up to the Capitol and were constructing a gallows. That was for Mike Pence. They smashed their way into the seat of government with the purpose of preventing the confirmation of the election results.
It was a dumb insurrection that failed - like everything Trump touches - but that doesn't mean it wasn't an insurrection. A "peaceful protest"? Gaslight us some more. That's what Trump does.
Yes the most heavily armed country on the planet had an insurrection which involved *checks notes* zero guns.
Totally plausible.
Lonnie Leroy Coffman: 46 months in prison Coffman drove to Capitol Hill from Alabama on Jan. 6, 2021, in a pickup truck loaded with powerful weapons, and is believed to have been the most heavily armed defendant during the attack. In his truck, investigators found a small arsenal of molotov cocktails, a 9mm handgun, a rifle, a shotgun, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, large-capacity ammunition feeding devices, a crossbow with bolts, machetes, camouflage smoke detectors and gas-filled Mason jars used to make napalm (a kind of homemade bomb). Coffman, age 72 at his sentencing in April, was also carrying two handguns at the time of his arrest. All the guns were loaded.
Nicholas Languerand: 44 months in prison Court documents show that Languerand, a QAnon follower, threw various objects at officers with the U.S. Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police Department, including an orange traffic barrier and two stick-like objects. The officers were protecting the Lower West Terrace entrance to the Capitol. Prosecutors claimed the items were capable of inflicting serious bodily injury based on the size and weight of the objects, as well as the speed and force with which Languerand threw them. During his trial, investigators said he showed little remorse and indicated that he wanted to see more violence, alleging he had sent a message to an associate that read, “Violence isn’t always the answer but in the face of tyranny violence may be the only answer,” and “Next time we come back with rifles.”
Scott Kevin Fairlamb: 41 months in prison Videos from the Capitol riot show Fairlamb climbing on inauguration scaffolding, pushing a police officer into a group of people and punching the officer’s face shield. Court filings also indicate that Fairlamb briefly entered the Capitol. In one video he posted to Facebook on Jan. 6, Fairlamb yells: “What patriots do? We f—n’ disarm them and then we storm the f—n’ Capitol.”
Cleveland Meredith, Jr.: 28 months in prison Meredith traveled from Colorado to attend the “Stop the Steal” rally that led to the attempted insurrection at the Capitol, but later told investigators that he arrived too late in the evening. The day afterward, on Jan. 7, he sent a family member in Georgia a text message threatening to kill House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Meredith’s mother contacted the FBI, and members located him at a Holiday Inn a mile from the Capitol. Meredith gave investigators consent to search his phone, along with his truck and trailer outside. The FBI discovered texts in which he threatened to assassinate Pelosi and District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser. He had sent a text earlier that day that said, “Calm before the STORM,” seemingly referring to a cataclysmic event in which QAnon followers believed that Donald Trump would expose a cabal of satanic pedophiles. In the search of Meredith’s trailer, the FBI found an assault rifle, a nine millimeter pistol and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Though the full picture of how many were armed among the crowd is unclear, court records, trial testimony and accounts from police officers and rioters have supplied growing evidence that multiple people brought firearms to D...
An "attempted coup." LOL. Those protesters had flags - not machine guns. Insurrection/Coup 101 - Carry machine guns. DO NOT carry flags. You can't kill anyone with flags . Please read the following ... Insurrectionists carry machine guns. Protesters carry flags. Do not forget!
An insurrection took place in Ukraine in 2014.
You know, armed men, people killed, a govt replaced.
Not on 1/6. It's scary people buy that nonsensical narrative
An insurrection doesn't have to succeed to be an insurrection. We would not expect an attempt to overthrow the government by Trump and his simian followers to succeed, since failure is a byword for them.

True. But more importantly, the riot at the Capitol was just one part of the coup. The fake electors and the attempts to have various states change their vote counts (and Trump was still agitating for that last month) were components.

That is a good point. The attempted coup also continues with the denial of the election results.
The right of states are paramount in the kind of democracy that works. Each state should have one vote based on their state legislatures or the local vote totals. By this method of democracy, the great Donald Trump is still president. If you look at a map of the United States overwhelmingly we voted geographically for him. It is only the big cities full of people attracted by big unnecessary and wasteful handouts which support Democrats. Whatever Trump does I can forgive because he should still be President and those documents should belong to him.
I hope the US is able to institutionalize these changes once the Red wave washes through congress this fall. Changing the constitution to reflect states rights as paramount will enable the cuts to "social justice" programs and wokeism we need to return to a functioning country. Hard work and belief in God are the cornerstones of our great country. Our dysfunctional big cities are sucking the lifeblood from our economy and the traditional values which made us great in the first place. I think that voting should be done in the voting box, not through the internet. It is one of our great rights and responsibilities and should not be relegated to a mouse click or by mass mailing to people who haven't even registered and are unwilling to show their personal identification to vote.

What’s the difference between a conservative and a progressive? Here are three examples. No. 1: Conservatives and progressives have different views about individuals and communities.
Conservatives ask: “What can I do for myself, my family, my community, and my fellow citizens?” Progressives ask: “What is unfair?” “What am I owed?” “What has offended me today?” “What must my country do for me?” The traditional American ethic of achievement gives way to the progressive ethic of aggrievement. As opposed to a variety of individuals making up one American community, progressives seek to place individuals in a variety of competing communities. The first creates unity. The second, identity politics.
For progressives, different ethnicities and gender identities are welcomed but a variety of opinions and ideas are not. Just look at two areas of public life dominated by the left. On college campuses free speech is under attack. If you’re a conservative working at a social media company or using one of their platforms to share your views, you may find your job eliminated or your account deleted. And when it comes to choice, progressives love the word, but they don’t want it to apply to our decisions on education, health care, and even how and where we live out our religious faith. Conservatives take a different approach. Parents, not the zip code they live in, should choose the school that is best for their child. We all need health care, but we don’t all need the same kind or same amount. And while people should be free to live as they choose, no one should be forced to endorse or celebrate those choices if it violates their religious beliefs. Conservatives say people should have choices. Progressives say one political solution fits all

Trump's lawyers argued that in the ancillary case pending in Boca Raton requesting Appointment of a Master Special. The court found Trump had not made the threshold showing that the court could exercise state electoral jurisdiction over ex post facto declassification of the federal documents subject to search warrant.
None of that matters, for Christ's sakes. The bottom line is that Trump is no closer to determining the identity of the rat(s) at Mar-A-Bago than he was before the redactified Affidavit. Trump has got to be freaked the fvck out now, knowing that the Feds are working the Mar-A-Bago rat like a well heeled pinball. See Affidavit, Paras. 19-22, 30, 52-53, 60, Exs. 2-3.
Trump needs to clean house. He needs to fire these goddam idiot lawyers, fire the mop staff, interrogate everyone in his star sanctum, get some binding loyalty oaths in place, and get out in front of this rat issue. It is impossible to conduct offensive operations at any kind of executive level when you have a rat working behind the scenes.

You actually mean Conservatives ask,"which non white group can I hate today ?".

You really believe that? In your "democratic" system population size doesn't matter. You want each state to have one vote, or you want to go by geographical size?
