case, in comparison to the rest of the uaa, is crap in just about every way. also, it's in cleveland.

yes, and there's no guarentee nyu will do well. has everyone forgotten how they shat the bed at 2006 regionals? THAT was pathetic, and worth making fun of.
I am pretty sure they won the 2006 regionals even with a team, that was sick from food poisoning
sorry, i meant 2005. my bad.

Hardly call that shitting the bed. They would have been well ahead of both teams at nationals with Abdallah and williams running up front. No need to start shit like that.
I'm pretty sure everybody just has it out for NYU because Abdallah is a douche.
Nevertheless, they will be beastly this xc season, and have a legit shot at taking down Calvin. Let's stop the useless bickering about irrelevant stuff for now please.
I don't get people who bitch about someone bringing up track stats in a discussion about xc.
While there's not a 100% correlation between track pr's and how people run on an xc course, their about a good predictor as any...
Why is Hany a douche? because he does not smile when he does not win...he may not be the best loser, but w/e get over yourself, you arnt very happy when you don't do as well as you would like to either.
On second thought he did make that comment in the track shark interview, about watch out if hes ever healthy over the summer and gets in real miles, but then again, let the kid have his fun, hes confident, may be a bit cocky, but its an interview and hes providing entertainment for us all.
Meet someone in person, and then if you still dont like him, don't bash him on a message board, cause that just makes you look stupid.
A lot of time has been spent predicting the top of the field. What about the other end? What teams will sneak in the backdoor to appear at nationals this year?
rumor has it Hany has been healthy this summer and running 100 mile weeks, my HS teammate has run with him this summer and said he's scary strong.

Cocky DIII runners should either transfer to DI to see if they should remain cocky or shut up.
I'm not sure I understand? Because D1 > D3 means D3 guys don't have a right to feel good about themselves when they run well? You're a tool. I'm sure you don't run D1 either.
just a sidenote (don't want to sidetrack this very important discussion which this thread has ultimately led to), but running 100 mpw in july isn't necessarily a smart move, and means almost nothing when it comes to how one will do at xc nationals (assuming this rumor is true, and given nyu's history - not just abdallah's)
i am pretty sure wisowaty didnt graduate, so she should be up there for the contending spot i would say it will be a really good race for zerzan and wisowaty with bradley stuggling to keep up with the fast pace by those two girls. Have they ran any road races this summer or just laying low?
All i know is wisowaty and zerzan should be left wanting a win after nationals in outdoor
Hany seems like quite the cocky athlete. He should concentrate on winning his regional race first. "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth." Proverbs 27:1

not sure if this has been discussed, but does anyone kno what the course for nationals is? if someone who has run it already wants to share what it like, I think lots of us would appreceate that info!
NYU's history...gimme a break, they started doing high mileage and it took them a year to get used to it all (2005 xc) or winter for Hany....then last year they romped on everyone but calvin all year long, because they got used to the mileage...end of story.
haven't run it but seen pictures...rolling hills i believe, should be a cold day. always is in minnesota
