Sell! Sell! Sell! Oh, wait, Abdi ran 2:08. Sell goes for the miniscule PR, Abdi goes for the win.

Bryn - if this was a UK race you'd be right.
Some 80 year old member of the Blazer Brigade knows he hasn't had a decent weekend of atheltics without disqualifying someone for something (such as the 4x400 U20 women who got DQ'd for not wearing the same kit - 1 wore a vest and 3 wore crop tops despite all being the same colours).
But this is an American race - and I suspect he will be given the win.

According to Runner's World, there was no sign of Torres at 2:15:50. Tear up his Reebok contract. He's not good enough to get full-time job compensation.
Sure he is. You aren't qualified to make that judgment.
Hartmann?
Go for that closeup on Adere blowing chunks!
Here come Ed Torres and a Hansons runner
Dita (Zita??) Whatever.... coming in around 2:23-24.
looks like a ton of americans have met the US trials time today
It was the mat, 30,000 plus other runners have no problem with crossing logo.

gotta love how the chasingkimbia runners were complete nonfactors today
Why would you love that?
Wow! There looked to be a lot of finishers that were under 2:20 and under 2:25. I know Chicago is known for quicker times, but I wonder if this year is deeper than previous years for sub 2:20 and sub 2:30 Americans.
Crazy finish. But NOW we'll see it on the news!
Go DJ!!!
Yeah, from sounds of commentators not having mentioned it, sounds like it's unlikely to be a problem.
Guess I am just used to British officials :S
Well done yesterday at 6 stage by the way, considering you went to spectate that was a good run!

Wonder what Ritz is thinking, seeing as Torres ran a nice 13.1 himself and is under the same training program.

No I'm not. Just an IMO.
It's a figure of speech. All that hype and then they go out with a whisper.

Because their training was all wrong.
Who made the trials for the USA?
Well boys and girls, that was a pretty damn exciting marathon to watch.

I watched the replay, and he slipped on the logo just before the mat.
Yup and a lot came tantalizingly close. Had their dream foiled by wind and cold
