Wow, that YouTube channel keeps announcing breakthroughs and collapses that didn't happen. I guess after the first once or twice I'd stop believing obvious nonsense like that.
Reuters reporting that India may be pivoting from using Russia as it's primary arms supplier. They're looking to build a domestic supply and potential partnerships with western companies.
Russia supplied 65% of India's weapons purchases of more than $60 billion during the last two decades, but the Ukraine war hastened the impetus to diversify its weapons base.
In the run up to the Russian presidential elections in March, an anti-war candidate is gaining a surprising amount of traction.
A surge of popular support for Nadezhdin ahead of an electoral deadline speaks of widespread dissatisfaction with the Kremlin and its war. It is a twist the presidential hopeful himself describes as “miraculous.”
“Call it God, call it fate. But my campaign has gained a momentum of its own,” Nadezhdin told POLITICO in a phone interview. “It’s not about me anymore, I’m just a symbol.”
As president, Nadezhdin promises, he would end fighting in Ukraine, halt mobilization, free political prisoners and reverse anti-LGBT legislation — topics which in today’s Russia are close to sacred, and certainly not up for public debate.
He won't win, even if he is allowed to be on the ballot, but he's on a remarkable run.

Now way Putin will let him on the ballot. And he will either end up in jail under the Russian disparage the military law or poisoned or thrown out of the widow of a hotel room or all of the above.
The Kremlin has to allow elections because there are parts of Russia where Putin lets the locals pick their leaders. Putin understood from the Soviet days that iron fisted central control of life across all of Russia was a disaster and that locals do need to have flexibility to control their own affairs without having Moscow approve every move they make. So, in the presidential election, Putin has to pretend like it is a legit election even though opposition candidates are routinely removed from the ballot (and removed from breathing too). So, Putin sets up an election where he will win by 80% because anything more than that will be seen by Russians as a complete fraud and anything less will be seen as a sign that Putin is losing popularity.
An anti-war candidate could have a strong showing against Putin and maybe even hit 30% or more. That is why this guy and no other anti-war candidate will ever be allowed to run.

According to the latest intelligence update from the UK's Ministry of Defence, the Russian ground forces (RFG) may have lost as many as 2,600 main battle tanks (MBTs), along with another 4,900 armored combat vehicles (ACVs) i...
Yet, since October of last year, RGF has likely still seen 365 MBTs and 700 ACVs destroyed while it made only minor territorial gains.
HAHAHAHAHAH. Over 1000 heavy military vehicles lost, nothing gained.
The Kremlin has also taken hundreds of older MBTs – including T-62s from the Cold War – and sent them to the frontlines. The capabilities of those vehicles have been limited, and the old platforms have primarily been employed in defensive roles.
That partially explains why the RGF has been forced to switch to infantry-led attacks around Avdiivka to "conserve armored vehicles following the first two waves of assaults on the settlement," the Institute for the Study of War think tank reported last month.
Oh right, Avdiivka. We've been hearing AVdiIvka is COLLAPSiNg for 4 months now. Now we're supposed to be impressed that MigHty RusSIaN aRmY IS cRAwLInG THrOugH SEWERs. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Even as Moscow has been able to keep up the pace on replacement vehicles, it will face greater hurdles when it comes to the tank crews. With few experienced personnel to pass on their knowledge, the losses of tanks will likely continue.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. "Few experienced personnel" because the rest got schwacked in 2022. Remember when TAITR was telling us how Ukraine couldn't possibly operate Abrams tanks because it takes an experienced crew? Well now Russia can't operate T-72s, T-80s, or T-90s because their experienced crews are now crispy bits glued to the inside of burnt-out wrecks outside of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Izyum, Kherson...
Great article, thanks for linking to another "Lolly/CC didn't read this before posting" classic!
More good news for Russia. Russia will continue to beat the EU's fully funded Ukraine, like before. Now if America will chip in their billions, Russia can continue humiliating them as well.
More good news for Russia! They humiliated Ukraine, the United States, the EU and NATO yet again by stopping a torpedo attack with the hull of a guided missile destroyer. The Russian undersea fleet is only growing larger!

LondonCNN — Russian assets frozen in European accounts are generating billions of dollars in interest payments that could be diverted to help repair Ukraine’s war-torn economy — and the European Union just took a step closer to doing that. After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Western countries froze nearly half of Moscow’s foreign reserves — some €300 billion ($327 billion). Around €200 billion ($218 billion) sits in the European Union — mostly at Euroclear, a financial institution that keeps assets safe for banks, exchanges and investors. EU leaders agreed a crucial $50 billion funding package for Ukraine on Thursday and came closer to finalizing a plan to use the profits piling up in Euroclear’s accounts
The EU deal now isolates the right wing Republicans who are blocking the border/Ukraine deal. Rep. Dan Crenshaw ripped the right wing Republicans for blocking the deal calling it "dereliction of duty" and the "height of stupidity". McConnell is dead set on getting Ukraine funding and is pissed that Trump and the right wingers are going to torpedo his deal on immigration. McConnell knows that if they punt a deal on immigration in hopes that Trump will be in office next year, the dems won't let anything pass. McConnell is probably on his last term in Congress and wants immigration reform as part of his legacy. So, he is probably going to go to war with Johnson over this bill. Moscow Mitch does not like to lose (and doesn't like being called Moscow Mitch).
GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw (TX) hits back at Republicans (like Ted Cruz) who are pretending to oppose the border bill because Trump wants to run on the issue.

Russian central bank governor Elvira Nabiullina says the yuan’s share in Russia’s exports has increased from 0.4 to 34.5 per cent, replacing the US dollar and euro as its ‘primary’ currency for foreign economic activity.
$300B in frozen assets *interest only to Ukraine* = Russia winning.
The EU will not touch the $300 billion's principle. They will only vote to direct future interest payments generated from that principle to Ukraine and they still need to vote on that. Russia will act in kind on western assets it has frozen so that's a wash.
Where it isn't a wash is, Russia winning.
Russia's economy and war machine is better than Ukraine's. Russia will gain the agriculturally rich land of Eastern Ukraine forever and that will be a cash cow for many years to come so this is a good fight for Russia to win, economically. That land will generate trillions for Russia over decades.
This war is very good for Russia's economy, which crushed failed sanctions and continues to outperform. Ukraine cannot remove Russia with full funding. They tried that for 2 years and failed.
The Kremlin on Friday warned the West that it had a list of U.S., European and other assets that would be seized if G7 leaders decided to go ahead and confiscate $300 billion in frozen Russian central bank reserves.
The IMF anticipates that the Russian economy will expand much more rapidly than last year as Vladimir Putin's military spending bolsters wider growth, the Financial Times reported on Jan. 30.
More good news for Russia. Russia will continue to beat the EU's fully funded Ukraine, like before. Now if America will chip in their billions, Russia can continue humiliating them as well.
"The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous." It's the MIC stumbling over itself to keep profits going. Even though Ukraine has lost, it needs to continue so wallets are padded. NATO does not care that Ukraine has lost this war or they'd have troops on the ground. Ukraine getting smaller is a loss the MIC can accept for all the value it creates for them.

Don't forget all the wallets that will be padded during the rebuilding of Ukraine. Destroying and rebuilding is the modern way of business :)

The West funds Ukraine's demolition and rebuild. Russia will rebuild its new acquisitions then generate money from them. Ukraine won't. Territorial shrinkage of fertile grounds is lost revenue for Ukraine. The economic value shift is massive.
