Baffling that you idiots are so proud of creating so much pointless death.
The source of your bafflement seems to be a fixation on the first part of the headline: Killing Russians By The Truckload Around Avdiivka
Rather than the punchline: How Russia Loses—And Ukraine Wins
Whether or not one accepts the premise of the article as valid, it's not hard to see how someone who would like to see Ukraine defeat the Russian invasion might be cheered by the news and is willing to accept the reality that wars are generally won by inflicting unsustainable losses on the other side.

I know you get a little hard on when you read that but that's only because you're stupid and never think anything through.
The Russian "dying by the truckload" didn't choose the war. They don't want to be there. They were yanked out of their lives by their government elites and sent to die for a stupid reason just like the poor Ukrainian bastards being kidnapped off the streets and sent to die by the truckload.
The article is propaganda designed to keep idiots like you interested and keep the war going.
Ukraine has ZERO hope of driving Russia out of Ukraine. NONE.

These neonazi bots pump empty trash. Deno was the king. They are pom pom shakers for powder puff women's league. When Ukraine had the momentum, there were posters for both sides talking here. But now that it's clear Ukraine will lose, Ukraine's neonazi bots have all disappeared. They are not men.

Hard to look at that and say it's going well for the Russians.
It's more costly to attack than defend. This has been true forever whether you're aware of it or not.
Russia lost over 20,000,000 people in WW2. They still won the war.
They're quite obviously winning this one. The Ukrainian summer offensive was a complete and utter failure even with all the Challengers and Leopards you idiots thought would turn the tide.
The outcome has been decided.
Russia won.
The only thing left to determine is how many Ukrainians need to die the corrupt politicians start a war somewhere else so this one can end.
Oryx is actually good. I'm pretty sure they don't list any numbers that don't have photographic evidence for.
The numbers are lopsided because the Russian are the attackers and the Ukrainians aren't using vehicles.
If you look at the Ukrainian offensive numbers they are just as bad in Russia's favor.
Attacking through observed minefields is very deadly for the attacker.
The Ukrainian offensive numbers didn't turn out that way, actually. There was a count of vehicle losses in the south that had losses as about even, or even slightly more Russian losses depending on what you include. After the initial surge in losses, Ukraine backed off of attacking through minefields.
I don't know if this is the count I'm thinking of, but it's based on Oryx's numbers:

Speaking during a news conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s goal is to free the territories within its internationally recognized borders.
America loses wars regularly despite killing more. It's an American tradition. Happening again in Ukraine.
If America invaded Ukraine it would have conquered all of the land and broken all of the Ukrainian formations in less than a month and then failed to deal with the insurgency because the American public can't handle the brutality required to put down an insurgency.
Hard to look at that and say it's going well for the Russians.

WWII is an interesting comparison. USSR largely got their butts kicked by Hitler up until Hitler got greedy and tried to push through to Moscow and Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) while the US entered the war on the European front. Up to that point, Hitler killed millions of Russian soldiers and captured most of eastern Russia up to a line from Leningrad to Moscow to Stalingrad (now Volgograd). The turning point was Stalingrad when Hitler had come close to capturing the city but got trapped in a quagmire in the winter of 42-43. Hitler failed to properly supply and reinforce his 6th Army, allowing it to get trapped and divided by Soviet forces. Without the pressure from the Allies on the western front, with the US entering the war and pummeling German forces with its superior air forces, Hitler may have had the resources to take Stalingrad. Stalin's war strategy was generally a disaster to the point of trapping 400,000 civilians in Stalingrad at the outset of the battle while hastily transferring all the stores of grain and livestock out of harms way. And Stalin's Red Army was notorious for the execution of soldiers, famously shooting retreating infantry in the battle of Stalingrad. It was ultimately the fact that Stalin had an unending supply of Russian bodies to throw at Hitler while the Allies wore down Hitler on the western front that allowed Russia to prevail. Russia was very lucky that Hitler was dumb enough to try to fight on two fronts.
In Ukraine, Putin cannot fully mobilize against Ukraine because support for the war is very low. Instead, he is clearing prisons and duping Central Asian migrants into fighting with promises of a big salary and benefits. This and the horribly corrupt and incompetent Russian armed forces is why the second most powerful armed forces in the world has not been able to take a country that at the outset of the war had a standing army that was smaller than Sri Lanka's and was not much more than loosely organized local militia groups with no navy. All Russia has to show for two years of war and about twice as many dead as were killed over ten years of fighting in the USSR/Afghanistan war are territories that were under Russia's de facto control prior to the invasion (Donbas) and a few coastal cities on the Azov sea (one of which, Mariupol, was completely bombed out). Russia could not hold Kharkiv and Kherson and suffered an embarrassing military defeat with a Benny Hill-esque retreat as UA forces completely surprised RU with a fall offensive in 2022. Since then, RU has suffered massive losses just to hold the line post fall 2022 offensive and to take a completely destroyed Bakhmut, which is still contested. And now Russia still can't finish off Avdiivka, a small city of about 30,000 as UA has been inflicting massive losses on RU. RU has been at it in Avdiivka almost as long as it took to defeat the Nazis in Stalingrad. While you can quibble about whether UA should have done more in its summer counteroffensive, it is clear that Russia's prosecution of its war in Ukraine is one of the greatest military failures in modern warfare history.
Putin has no military means to win the war. His only way to achieve victory is to move the goal posts and take Donbas and the southern coast as a victory in order to get an armistice. But that is not his strategy as ending the war will cause the Russian economy to implode as Russia's domestic industries have largely converted to war production and have lost access to Western markets (and are instead now a client state of China). So, Putin's strategy is to have a permanent war with Ukraine. A loss of western support for Ukraine does not mean victory for Putin has RU's forces are so inept that they cannot even break through depleted UA lines and certainly have no means to take large metro areas without Putin going for a general mobilization. A loss of western support just means that the war will be a long line of Bakhmuts and Avdiivkas, where RU sustains massive losses for nominal gains just to keep Putin in power.
Russia is counting on staying in the war for the long term. That’s its whole plan for victory. A plan a few battalions of Ukrainian vehicles have exposed as a farce.

The Wehrmacht reached Leningrad very quickly. I have no idea why you think they had trouble getting there or why it was "greedy" to do so.
The Third Reich was defeated at the Battle of Kursk in July 1943. Everything that happened after was just delaying the inevitable.
The vast majority of German casualties were suffered on the eastern front. The Allies didn't "wear Hitler down" the Russians did.
You said Russia couldn't take Bakhmut either. Yet they did. In a few months when Russia has taken Avdiivka you will move on to declaring that Russia can't take the next town. But they'll take that one too eventually.
You can declare Russia to be a historical failure all you like. Meanwhile, the entire west can't keep up with their ammunition production and they are winning the war.
Putin has never said he wants to conquer Ukraine. YOU are moving the goal posts when you lie and say that was the goal. The goal was to keep Ukraine from joining NATO. Putin literally said if Ukraine wants to join NATO it will do so without Crimea and the Donbas. Well what do you know Ukraine lost both the Donbas and Crimea.
Ukraine has no hope of ever pushing Russia out of the Donbas or Crimea.
Russia has already achieved their objectives. The only thing left is for Ukraine to decide how many more thousands of Ukrainians need to die to change NOTHING.

Thoughtful post, but without western support for Ukraine, it probably would fall eventually. In particular, without western supplied air defense systems, Ukraine would eventually run out of either air defense systems or ordinance, Russia would gain definitive air superiority and Russia would bomb Kiev into submission. Occupying Ukraine might be problematic for Russia even with a friendly government installed and the dismantling of an independent Ukraine military.

Russia could bomb Kiev into submission today if that was the goal...

Weird that Russia has been taking disproportionate losses in offensive operations around Avdiivka for months when they've "already achieved their objectives".
Why isn't Putin publicly pushing for an armistice?
