In order to show just how dominant the St. Olaf women were, the results people decided to leave off their #1 runner in the scoring just to let everyone know that they still would have won by 17 pts.

Very surprised to see Childs-Walker get beat!!!
congrats to the hamdogs, very impressive race. not a bad showing by the oles either, going out and upsetting the johnnies. was a fun race to watch
Anyone know the lowest point total to ever win MIACs?

It was perfect scored a few times back in the 50s and 60s by UST and Mac.
Anyone know the story about Gustavus's Ross? 3rd MIAC finisher at griak behind monson and sederquist, runs 28:59 yesterday - outside of GAC's lackluster top 7. Anyone know what's going on there?
Also, Sathre doesn't deserve the title if he's going to act the way he did if he loses. Props to Monson for a great, well executed race.
I think Sathre was just upset about his upcoming walk home.

I heard he stopped for a while cuz he was feeling shitty for whatever reason, then decided to finish the race.
Hamdogs ran a smart race. People underplayed them all year until the Drew. Devin Monson just blew it away in the last 1k.
The whole Hamline front five ran a strong, smart race.

He ran a shit ton of miles over the summer and he's hanging by a thread.
Regionals predictions? I can't see the central region getting any more than 1 at-large bid. I bet it'll be hamline, some non-MIAC team, and then olaf or the johnnies. Based on conference I'd say the oles have the edge, but maybe the johnnies will come on like they did two years ago.

I heard it's a foot injury.

I heard it's a lower body.
I think there's a chance the central gets two at-large spots. If you look at last week's rankings, the midwest and new england are a lock to have five teams, mideast, atlantic, and great lakes will have at least four, the central and west at least three, and the south/southeast two. That adds up to 30 teams, leaving two more bids to be awarded. It will probably matter which teams are involved and what the spread is... for instance, if Grinnell is the 4th team and they are 20+ points back of the 3rd team, I don't see how they qualify. They didn't race anyone decent at conference and ran very poorly at Oshkosh. If the 4th team is St. John's, on the other hand, they can point to decent results at La Crosse and Eau Claire.
Like the vikings playoff chances, this thread died off quickly. Who wants to start talking about track??
There should be some major JV action going on this weekend. Fall Finale at SJU right now and possibly something in the cities or Northfield.
The Oles squished the Carls 15-50 in the Great Karhu Shoe Race yesterday!
The results of SJU's Fall Finale f-ed up.
Today being the first official day of track season, I think it is only fitting to fire up the MIAC track thread.
first official day of track season? your team not going to regionals this year?
