Good calls. I agree, but you left out Armstrong of Trinity (Tex). He beat mahoney, lewis, blank, and parks at scac.
Yeah, thanks for catching that. Put him in at #5 and push everyone down...

its ridiculous how biased everyone on this board is. Those predictions are a joke.
What would you change?

Why don't you give us your list, chief?
I see you haven't put up so you wisely chose to shut up. Looks like Nate's predictions aren't a joke after all.

Who talks like that? How do you even know he read your reply? Go back to middle school. Those predictions were a joke

So what's your excuse? GIMME A LIST, buddy!
just a guess, but somebody's probably p*ssed that you jumped rhodes and centre over emory or w&l over mary wash.
or sewanee over cnu.
What is a joke is that no one else has the BALLS to make predictions. They just like to hide behind fake names and bash kartelite.
Good job kartelite. I might not agree with your predictions, but they are your opinion and worth consideration.
CNU is not in the top ten for kartelite probably because they are going to choke at regionals. Sewanee is in the top ten because they always peak at the end of the year. Good observation by a smart runner.
Let's see some more predictions. Mine are coming.
Of course I'm only guessing he read it. These boards are addictive.
Anyway, I stand by my post. Haa doesn't have the balls to post his own predictions. He only criticizes.
Like I said, put up or shut up!
I'll add to karlites predictions...
teams
1. Rhodes (running better every race and they have the regional experience) Plus Mahoney is Money and how can you go wrong with Handlemans fro
2. UT-Tyler (these guys are good, but i just don't think they will beat Rhodes, but I could be wrong)
3. Emory
4. Mary Wash
5. Centre
6. W&L
7. Bridgewater
8. Trinity
9. Lynchburg
10. CNU
individuals
1. Gotta go with Flynn, Lynchburg
2. Alex Mahoney, Rhodes
3. Nick Lewis Rhodes (this is why they will win)
4. Hussein Nasiro-Sigo, Methodist
5. Ben Donnan, UT-Tyler
6. Armstrong Trinity (Tex)
7. Nate Blank, Centre
8. RJ Cowan, UT-Tyler
9. Michael Welsh, W&L
10. Frank Devar, Mary Washington
11. Paul Winterhalter, Emory
12. Nathan Rittenhouse/ Brandon Spalding, Bridgewater
13. Chris Moore, Rhodes
14. Corey Kellam, UT-Tyler
15. Jermey Falke, Lynchburg
Okay there they are, so go ahead and bash em!
Still no love for David Woodson from CNU? This kid has beaten Devar this season, and gave Hussein a great race at USA South. As far as teams are concerned, I cant see many points seperating Emory, Rhodes, and UT-Tyler. I don't know why everyone has overlooked McMurry. W&L,Bridgewater, and Centre will not lose to Mary Washington.

Easy...
First of all, you need to look up results from the Rhodes Invitational. UT-Tyler had 5 guys in under Rhodes' 4th.
On top of that, why the hell does everyone have Mahoney as being Rhodes' top runner? Nick Lewis has been in front of Mahoney at every meet!
So, here's HAHAHAHAHA's prediction. UTT wins in a landslide, Rhodes score is at least 200% of what Tyler puts down.

I definitely agree with you about UT winning comfortably. But Mahoney is tough, look at how he's done at regions the past two years, 6th as a sophomore when people here were saying he wouldn't do anything, then champion last year plus top 50 at Nationals. Not to mention he ran 14:52 this spring. He doesn't seem to have his form from last year, but I kind of see him being his team's top runner at regions, no disrespect to Nick who I'm sure will run well.
I admit I kind of overlooked CNU's top guy (and as a team) in my predictions. I hadn't really noticed them doing anything of note since Wyss and. co went to VCU, but I guess they're getting back on track. Nasiro-Sigo seems to be getting into good form with a 26:08 winning easily at Hagan Stone, I recall he ran just a few seconds faster the year he won regions, I remember watching him come across the line after our race there, seeing his time and him all alone and I was like oh s*** haha...then again I think he went like mid-25's sometime last year. He's a total wild card.
Its my guess that these predictions have incorporated three elements to a certain degree: a great rhodes peak, a huge Emory regional bomb, and a massive underestimation of the UAA. Just as an exercise I dropped 20 seconds from every Rhodes runner at conference and popped them in their appropriate place in the UAA race based on a 20 second improvement. Based on this metric they would have finished with 192 points...21 points behind the last place University of Chicago. Just some food for thought. No predictions will come from me because I think its dangerous to speculate. I do however enjoy reading others bicker and occasionally posting.
Let's use our brains now:
1. UTT's 1-3 defeat Armstrong of Trinity twice, by a pretty good margin.
2. UTT defeats Rhodes by a large margin, again their top guys dominate.
3. Armstrong beats both Lewis and Mahoney at SCAC.
Now why are you expecting Rhodes to beat UTT at Regions? And for that matter, what is Chris Moore doing in the top 15 when there are Trinity and Centre guys that beat him a week ago nowhere to be found? UTT had their number 5 run a 33:45ish 10k at Chile Pepper. They are clearly the best in the region. The fact that Alex Mahoney is a total hottie will not save him.
Franklin Park's course is considerably faster than the SCAC course. I don't think the comparison you use is accurate.
I think 30-35 seconds is much more reasonable. I did math, but I also consider that your 20 seconds doesn't put Lewis ahead of Winterhalter. Lewis beat Winterhalter by 13 at Sewanee.
Then when you actually do CORRECT team scores, you get the following:
Emory 132
Rhodes 168
Chicago 183
Dude, all you cats are smoking some serious weed!! The Rat Man will set you straight.
Let the rat predict:
1. UT-Tyler ... even though I think this school needs to up its admission standards
2. Emory ... will redeem after a flop last year ... Vikram!! best name in the region!!
3. Rhodes ... Lewis beats Mahoney ... by 2 seconds
4. Centre ... rock on Nate Blank ... cool hair dude!
5. Mary Wash ... coach stan is the man
6. Trinity ... Chass turns on the gass
7 to 10. list some VA schools in any order ... who really cares after 6 anyway ... Sewanee will probably beat all of them with some late season heroics
The Rat's individual national qualifier pix:
1. Sigo ... he will finish 6th after 3 from UTT, Lewis and Mahoney ... even though he goes out in 4:22 for the first mile ... not a smart runner
2. Flynn ... follows Sigo and runs a terrible last mile
3. Blank ... gets a haircut after the race ... women cry
4. Armstrong ... Lance's lil' bro
5. Devar
6. Welsh
7. up for grabs ... Moore? dudes from Bridgewater? Lynchburg #2?? Ian Turner?!
The Rat Has Spoken. All other shall be cheese!
Flynn...may not run at all. Possible broken collarbone...possible no run
