Bill Clinton paid Paula Jones 850k to go away. Democrats being Democrats.
Yes. And if there was evidence of anything illegal about that, Bill would have been indicted. But there was not. John Edwards did get indicted and tried -- not convicted. Now Donald is about to get indicted for something similar but not identical. Devil is in the details. Will he get convicted on this? It looks like a much stronger case than the case against Edwards.
NO KINGS. Prosecute these elites when warranted. Donald has played the system to delay, but this is just the 1st of several likely indictments, and perhaps the LEAST significant.
I’m curious, what is it that he said here that Democrats disagree with? This clip is short…
Oct. 13 -- At a rally in West Palm Beach, Florida, embattled Republican nominee Donald Trump railed against the political establishment and corporate media.
LMAO, I show that the conservatives did something popular but not right, and you say that’s a trait of the liberals? Lord above you are either a nitwit or a troll. A very bad troll, or a very good nitwit.
If it was "popular" McCarthy wouldn't have been censured. He was.
Republicans go too far on abortion. Democrats go too far on everything including abortion.

They won't watch it and even if they do they won't hear a word of it because they are programmed to hate the man.
That clip is 100% why people from the left and the right voted for Trump in 2016. He was anti-establishment from the start and anyone with a brain realizes the establishment is completely corrupt.
Trump is off the charts triggered on Truth Social! Truly insane desperation. You can't read it and reconcile that he was President and had the nuke codes.
Among other things he is trying to pin this one on Biden. Sure thing Orange wombat! Biden made you have sex with a porn star and then pay her off while your wife was preggo.
What will happen, if Trump doesn't get arrested on Tuesday?
Right wing civil unrest enthusiasts will go home devastated and Right wing pro trump grifters will pocket their I’ll gotten funds raised like they did with Trumps Jan 6 defense fund?

Got it!
No. There is no love lost between Trump and DeSantis, but it looks like DeSantis is going to deploy the national guard in Florida to keep jack-booted thugs from the US Marshals Service out of MaraLaga. DeSantis has united when his party needed him most.

A few hours ago you said most people were anti-communist. So it was popular. Then it wasn't because he was belatedly reined in, I guess? I'm coming to the conclusion you're a troll, even a nitwit wouldn't be this good at arguing inconsistently. Or rather, a nitwit wouldn't be this good at switching what he was arguing whenever it was advantageous.
Any of you anti-Trumper’s want to chime in on what you disagree with in the clip I posted?
Years of posting that clip, and years of no answers. He says exactly what Democrats used to say. So, what do Democrats disagree with?
It's easier to understand politics when you recognize that a vast majority of political-minded people pick either Blue Side or Red Side, either based on one or two issues they feel strongly about, or just because its the side other people around them are on, or if they're contrarian, the side people around them aren't on, and go from there. People may sometimes change Sides, but whichever one they're on, they will support all of it, and oppose all of what the other Side does/says. There are polls proving this phenomenon exists -- opinion polling on certain potential actions the government could take, the same people who oppose it when their Side is not in power suddenly support it if it looks like they're now empowered Side will do whatever it is. Let's say Trump in that clip is saying something Democrats had said before: it's different now because the wrong Side is saying it. That's it, that's all. Very few people put more thought into their reactions than that.

Talk about some serious gibberish.
How do you feel about corporate power? How do feel about bankers? These are issues Dem’s used to claim they were concerned with. So, what gives?
You call it gibberish, and yet you just end up repeating the same questions I answered.
The following is a dramatization of the exchange that just occurred.
You: "Dems used to say XYZ but hate Trump for saying XYZ, why?"
Me: "The reason is that people don't hold consistent opinions on most issues, they just pick sides. They'll support XYZ if their side says it but oppose XYZ if the other side says it. Thus, Dems may have said XYZ before but since Trump is now saying XYZ, they oppose it because Trump is on the other side."
You: "I don't really understand words, so I'll just reiterate: Dems used to say XYZ but hate Trump for saying XYZ, why?"

It's really weird how much weight Trump's faithful put on rally speeches. The guy was president for 4 years, why would I care about his thousands of hours speaking to M'AGA rallies?

Usually, not always, but usually when someone points out an alleged hypocrisy of one "side" they are unintentionally and tacitly pointing out their own hypocrisy too. In threads on LRC, that rule is nearly always true, and it's strange how many people are unaware of it while posting.
For example, you have pointed to something you believe shows a hypocritical switch in Dem concerns. To the extent that alleged switch in Dem concerns exists, wouldn't the same hypocritical switch be true of Repubs, just in opposite order?

Being anti-communist was popular. Unfounded accusations were not.
McCarthy was popular because he was going after the communists.
He lost popularity when it was revealed that his accusations were BS.
Meanwhile, idiots like you call Ben Carson and Larry Elder "RACIST" because they don't agree with you. You want anyone who doesn't think a grown man should be twerking in a 3 year old's face in @ssless chaps to have their lives ruined.
.@joerogan says the culture shifted, and now the left embraces war, censorship, big pharma, and authoritarianism:
"If you stop looking in terms of red and blue — look at the actions. Whether it's war, suppression of free speech, or mandatory pharmacological interventions. That… https://t.co/lWUID9lS0Epic.twitter.com/R2uNppzuzx

That's weird, I don't think any of those things you say I think. Another mistake people make in politics, especially in debate, is to assume that any pushback they get not only comes from "the other side," but that the pusher-back must necessarily represent the most extreme version of the other side.

Then why do you vote for them?
The "extreme version" of Democrats are the mainstream these days.
