If I might speak for the guys, I'd like to see all the letsrun women post more!
I lurk, hardly ever post!
I'll second that! We runners need more women posting and giving we males the proper perpective.
Im a girlie to
Hey i'm a lurker too, sometimes post, but i just registered this name.
Funny how i found these boards, there once was an entire thread about me that my friend told me about, but it got deleted for good reasons.
But i'm not a stud runner that anyone would kno about just an average college runner.
There are plenty of females that frequent this site.

My dearest Pete, I'm not sure if I'm the woman in question. But maybe we can figure it out?
If this "J" is an all around great guy- charming, intelligent, witty, an amazing husband and father with an always abundant store of good cheer, understanding, and empathy... with clarity of perception unrivaled, a caring, thoughtful, and endearing demeanor? a great sense of humor capable of lightening any situation? not to mention looks so handsome heads turn when he enters a room? Well let me just go ahead and ask, is he one h-o-t stud that knows how to turn on the romance?
Then maybe, just maybe, "J" is my ?huby-poo?...
Calbear, I promise that the above was not me. Unfortunately, I do not believe it was Mrs. J, either... but maybe if she is feeling like I might get lucky again tonight??? Anyway, I am done trying to figure it out (thanks for the help Pete)... the only way I'll find out my Joy's identity is away from the boards.
Anyway, the assessment is so close to home it is uncanny. I would say that perhaps my search is over, but "Just Maybe" is a first time poster (so if it is my dear, she is just teasing me by using an alternate handle).
Wow! 12 Letsrun Women... well a couple are prob guy posers and a couple are prob single posters using a couple of names... but that still leaves 8+, which is about a 100% increase over the amount just a few weeks ago (haven't heard from Fou, yet, either). I agree (and always have held the opinion) with the others that say that LR needs more female opinion - BADLY. So, you who primarily lurk, I beseech you on behalf of the health of this site to please post more often.
you have a "girl" over here. i post a lot but i change by name often.
I rarely post (maybe 3 times ever), but I lurk almost daily. I don't even have a registered name, maybe I'll do that. I'm a decent runner, but my boyfriend is pretty good so sometimes I'll see his name here and there and I think that's pretty funny.
Oh and I completely agree only we can call ourselves girls, I don't think the guys would like it very much if we called them boys, though maybe we should.
I'm a female who posts occasionally, although I usually end up ceasing all discussion in a thread. Hopefully that won't happen here.
I also don't mind being called a girl even though I have reached physical and emotional maturity. Not to complicate the matter Pete, but every woman has the right to be referred to however they want.
Women Suck!!! Go cook me a pot pie.
What's up! Nice to see taht there are some females out there. I rarely go on any message boards these years. Too much stupidity going on on many. That's time wasted which can be used more productively in my opinion. But it's still nice to read some ghossip here an dthere,. I just wish a lot of those posts would be more thoughtful, sensible, and mature.
Take care everybody,
Lilli
Come on guys, show a bit of class, don't call these chicks "girls." I mean broads like it when we show respect. Calling a hooch-mama a "girl" is simply rude.
Sorry, couldn't resist a lame attempt at being funny. Nevertheless, whoever posted as "The Rapist" is a huge A-hole.
it's very interesting to see how does everybody look like.
wondering to see some letsrun posters' pics.

That is a good idea! start a thread
I lurk too. I know for a fact that some very fast women look at this site.
I lurk often, post rarely. Spend more time sifting through the drivel looking for the gems.
What are the demographics of the female lurkers? Are there more college track/cc, post-collegiate track/cc, open roads, marathoners, non-racers?
I am an open road racer/marathoner (still a miler at heart).
I'm female, scan the message board a couple of times per week and have posted once or twice. Usually check the injury threads - never know when advice or a link will come in handy.
I used to scan the message board almost every day but have become disgusted by the obscene messages posted by a certain few people. I have also stopped recommending this website to my friends for this reason.
Another lurker! I don't personally know any other girls who go on this site, but it's nice to know you are out there!
