which, to bring this thread full circle, is (I imagine) a lot like eating an oyster, texture-wise.
Just the other day, (Kentucky Derby week) I asked a vegan friend if she would bet on horse or dog races. She said no.
I don't understand why not. Particularly at dog races, the dogs really seem to enjoy themselves. I see it as a win win-the dog gets the adrenalin rush from chasing a mechanical rabbit, and the person gets the adrenalin rush of gambling.
