You are assuming this based on the premise that JH will sign a Nike contract. Who's to say NB or Asics don't offer her a better deal. Being a Nike athlete is not all it's cracked up to be. There is a lot of pressure to perform, nowadays companies don't care if your performance has slipped because of an injury. Nike will cut an athletes contract like that if they underperform, just ask Brent Vaughn. It would not surprise me if she went the Jenny Simpson route.

She's not going back to that dead end town. She'll be at UCLA Pre-Med Doc Mando will coach her again, via Skype.
I assume she hasn't made a decision and everyone is trying to predict what she may decide in the future.
I would put odds on the simplest thing, which would be to stay in Eugene and train with the OTC Elite where she already has friends and an existing comfort level.

Probably true for the short term. I would think, however, that she will retire fairly soon. I just don't see any evidence that she has the talent to be winning national titles and certainly there is no chance of her ever making an impact internationally. Can she/does she want to be a professional also-ran?
Note: I am not by any means a Jordan "hater". I like her. Seems like a great young woman. I'm just guessing that she'll move on to pursue a non-running career fairly soon.

The sad thing is that she went to Oregon, got no education, and now has to rely on an iffy sports career.

Because she has very good Vibes for Nike and will make an excellent role model/sponsor. I am sure that Nike would be delighted to have her in their fold, and will likely be supported better than comparable athletes because of the 'intangibles' that are important to marketing.
Her Mom told me something about UCSF as a possibility. But getting into the #1 med school in the world is a very long shot even is she had a USC, UCLA, or Cal undergrad.
Her major is Business. Seems like she wants to "go pro" and if it doesn't work out, she can ~work for Nike/other.
