His odds actually dropped by joining up with DST & RC/EG are completely different athletes so their experience will be irrelevant.

BTW there's no magic in his high mileage program producing his results. He just chooses to achieve things with that approach. He could just as 'easily' achieve the same things on a Rupp/Farah type program. No substitute for talent combined with hard work.
Why did Cam join DST's group?
I think he'll end up on the Ultr Trail scene. Also, do you think Josh McDougal could make a comeback entering those type of races?
They reward the "more is better" approach.
But how likely is he or maybe most runners who undertake such a high-mileage training program to survive it for more than four years?
I can tell you on good authority that if he does survive it is because he has started or will start taking a metric ton of PED's! But because of his blue collar mystique (and race!) the ostriches here will defend him to the end. Just sad.
Could Cam do the 10k/5k/Marathon triple in Rio? Cam can obviously handle a ton of stress on his body so who is to say he could not be very competitive in the Marathon after he has finished his track events. Think about it he could probably run a good marathon after the 5k in London. With another 4 years of mega mileage he could probably be very competitive in all 3. I think he should focus on the 5 and 10 then see what he has in the tank for the marathon. He certainly has the strength to pull it off.

No amount of drugs could help Cam Levins. You have to be bat sheet crazy to think about doing 250 miles in a week and think it will help you run faster. The guy has some serious mental problems.

You do realize the he is only running 20-30 more on a big week then almost every competitive marathoner was running a decade ago? It's not like he runs 200+ every week. 130-150 mile weeks were the norm in Bill Rodgers training don't see anyone pouring the haterade on him, Levin's is running a more, sure, but really nothing too crazy.

I'm so sorry to tell you this but the Livestrong groupies said the same thing! Just because he is a nice person doesn't mean he won't use PED's. In fact his nice facade that has you (ostrich) convinced may be just that- A FACADE-to conceal his doping.
Of course I don't know Cam PERSONALLY but I don't need to know him to know with a high degree of certainty that he is doped to the gills.
