Lolo Jones Tweets To Paralyzed Football Player - "get checked for a concussion. clearly u've been hit in the head..."

My question is, what if he (forgetting that fact that he is paralyzed) had challenged her to a 10k or something? A "race" could mean any distance. Yet she still responded back instantly that she is a track athlete and could take him in a race. She would've looked real dumb if that were the case. Whether quick rude wit like that is her persona or not, she needs to check what she says before she says it.

I don't have a problem with the fact that she talked smack to a guy in a wheelchair. I think it's pretty clear that she didn't know he was paralyzed. Whatever.

But I think it's pretty conceited for her to think this guy has no chance of beating her because she's "a track athlete". I mean, I don't know anything about the guy....but there are plenty of dudes out there who could beat Lolo Jones in a footrace. If it was a hurdle race, that might be a different story....but think how many college males can run 100m in under 11 seconds. Fairly presumptuous for her to think she could take any random dude who challenges her, when in fact there are tons of random no-name guys who could hand her her ass in a flat 100m race.

This board is hilariously stupid, and is definitely a hotbed to breed hatred for people. Yes, she didn't know who he was (I follow football daily and know about him signing his 1-day contract...but I couldn't remember his name for the life of me, why should most people?), so to think she responded that way on purpose is ridiculous.

And this post above is laughable. Who cares about the distance?? He's listed as a football player...does it matter what distance he picked? I would still bet on a conditioned sprinter running a 10k faster than a 200lb+ football player. But more importantly...It's TWITTER! Just talking smack...You think they would have actually done it??? The ONLY reason he would take her up on it, would have been to try and meet her and hook up. Amazing how people take everything they see so literally.

And for those who hate hearing about Lolo...quit reading about her! If I see a topic/person I don't want to hear about, i skip right past it and go on to the next. I know that sounds crazy, but it works. Problem solved.

What percentage of people (on twitter, or football players, or otherwise) could beat her in a race of ANY common distance?

Tons? Like how many, exactly? 100,000 men in the US can run under 11 for 100m, you think? That number seems really high, and it's still a 0.03% chance (0.06%, ish, if you count only men).

Yeah, she really should watch her mouth, with playful banter, when there is a 1 in 3000 chance that the guy might be able to beat her in a race at the distance she isn't known for racing.

She only mentioned all the hate she was getting in one tweet and also in another back to Eric LaGrande himself telling him thnx for not being offended.

If she wasn't so indignant about people criticizing her original tweet, people would have moved on.
