jerry's letting jager run a lot of races in comparison to teg. so, maybe it's not jerry but teg who wants to race so lightly. is it just that teg thinks that times mean nothing and only championship races are important? but if you don't sharpen and practice in these fast euro races, forget about maximizing your potential in championship races.

In all fairness, 7:35 is equal to more like a 13:13 5k and based on his even splits, he probably ran within a second or, at most, two of what he was capable of today. I could believe that he could run 13:10 right now, but 13:00 isn't happening this year.
Trackandfieldnews.com converts Rupp's 8:09 2 mile indoors to a 7:33 3000m indoors. either way, i bet Rupp and Jager could scotch a 3k in september, maybe go for Kennedy's record. That would be exciting to watch.
On a Jager note, the dude basically ran 8:06 in his second or third SC of the year or whatever, basically out of the gates. I say Jager becomes the first American to go sub 8:00 in the SC. Why not? We've been going sub 13 and sub 27 in the 5k and 10k, might as well make it the 3k too.
I bet Jager will run a mean 10k someday too.
