Why are brits so much less attractive than aussies? After all, they have basically the same gene pool. And WTF, are dentists outlawed in england?
socialized medical care.. most dental work aside from cavities and such is cosmetic and when you socialize your care you dont get the extras that we have here.
So let me get this straight. The media reports that she is out and she tweets that this is essentially right but that she would like to announce it herself.
Anyway, she hasn't been in factor in the Marathon since a long time. She was able to bounce back after her first kid with her NYC win in 2008, but afterwards she showed nothing.
No disrespect, she is the greatest female Marathon runner of all time and her record will stand as long as we live, but she is has-been since quite a while.

I don't understand any of this - White Brits are just as ugly as White Americans, maybe less so. The difference is that they aren't insufferable bores about thinking that are attractive. The Indians, Orientals and American blacks are far more attractive than white Americans. But then Caucasians in general are a rather homely race, so it's not saying much to think you are more attractive than equally unattractive people. In other words, Whites are just plain ugly.
She's a has been. Not that I could head out the door right now and run 2:15, but her best days are, not surprisingly, behind her. Same goes for Deena. Happens to all of us. She wouldn't have won, or likely even medaled. I'm more interested in seeing who can chase after her freakishly fast WR.

Chase, maybe. Keitany e.g. runs fearless and is going to attack it. But she will fail. It is going to take a long long time. Marita Koch's 400 will fall first.
Now the Olympics are all over for Paula, the best thing for her now is to play a major part in the Women’s Marathon Victory Ceremony, by presenting the medals.
This may sound like the Spanish Inquisition treatment, but I feel she would be able to make peace with the Love /Hate relationship she has with the Marathon and allow her to move on with her life.
Also, the crowd would take the roof of the stadium if she appears which would give her a massive lift.

The problem with Paulas training was that she logged mile after mile after mile. Hundreds each week of the old same, slog style running.
I am pretty sure had she worked on her form (e.g. mix it up with some Innov8/Altra or even Vibram 5Fingers) and especially included some badass crosstraining, she would not have gotten injured.
Mix that with some crossfit style sprint training and she would even be able to kick, despite her old age.
Oh well...
I'm not saying she doped, but pretending cheats don't beat drug tests is idiotic.

Her records were the result of drug use--she is following a familiar pattern of those who use drugs and then later flame out as a result of it.
The outrageous lowering of existing records ala Flo-Jo are always indicators of drug enhanced performances.
People who doubt this just don't know big time running as it exists today.
