This is true Americans have some weird vision of peaking that in our minds states we can only run our fastest in one, one week periods in the season and after that week we are done. Everybody else in the world thinks you have a 6-8 week period where you can be at your best or close to your best.[/quote]
This is totally true and it is because Americans train weirdly .
#1 They are afraid to do speed all year round, which disables their ability to hold it for long periods when they get it.
#2 They taper too much.
