But in this market one would assume that there must at least be a 14 year old rubik's cube solver available. 24 is just young and those in the hiring mode know young people ar generally unreliable, change their minds often (because they still have hope that change will bring good things), etc. I own and manage several rental properties (secondary to my primary job) and would never rent to a 20 something. Made that mistake and learned my lesson. Hiring is similar. Youth is youth. Basically if I could find someone equally qualified but older, I would hire them. Sorry.
