I've seen Michael Vick interviewed a few times. He's pretty bright, in comparison to most pro athletes interviewed.

You might detest his past treatment of dogs, but unlike many people who engage in criminal activities, he served his sentence in prison.

I respect him for having done that, although many can't forgive other people, just wanting mercy for themselves. Vick deserves a second chance and otherwise isn't a good example of a "very dim" athlete, as you nominated him.

I agree Scott should have kept his mouth shut. But people rarely do. And yes he's wrong. Does that mean he's an idiot? Maybe, maybe not. Have you ever met him?

One thing I can tell you is that, even if he is wrong, and even if he may be stupid, he is an incredible human being. He does oversees volunteer work, donates large amounts of money to charity, and he is a very friendly and cordial guy. I've never seen him take a play off either, and I have watched him literally hundreds of times.

I remember a stat from a year ago, only 26 MLB players had graduated college. 30 teams with 25 players=750. A lot get signed in HS, while others go to CC or hop out after two years in school. In this instance Luke Scott never even attended College. Baseball players are not usually the smartest of the bunch.

Also ESPN did a piece on athletes and guns a while back, and Scott was featured for his use of open carry. Showed him walking around with a pistol in public and firing rounds at a range. Nothing to be surprised about here.

I think the liberal bias in the media leads it to work harder to uncover negative things about Republicans than it does about Democrats. That's not good. It should be even handed.

Does your "total lie," assertion rest upon his already released and available grades having been leaked first? Gosh, that's flimsy, especially the use of the word "total." You are taking advantage of a technicality, someone leaking it years ago, thereby, in your mind, allowing you to perpetually brand him as someone who never released his transcript, even though he later did. Leaked first, you say, well, then you just gave Bush an impossible challenge, to time travel to do things in the past.

Nonsense. Everything you said is false. Anyone with half a brain can figure out your little "gotcha" move. Try harder next time to justify your moronic beliefs.

I was right in the first place. Obama is hiding something.

I had no concern whatsoever about this matter till he resisted producing the birth certificate, which didn't otherwise make sense. His supplying of the second document, instead of the birth certificate, set off the alarm bells. That's a lot of trouble to go to, instead of just complying with the request.

People defending him is fine. Just don't change the nature of my opposition to something other than it is, to try to discredit me. Maybe he was born in Hawaii, on the date claimed, but it's persistently baffling why he withholds the birth certificate. The only reason to go through the hoops he has is because it's got some truth he has lied about, or doesn't want known.

The same is true with his college transcript. There's not much that Bush, Kerry and Gore have in common, but released college transcripts is one thing. Obama has much in common with Kerry and Gore, but not a secreted college transcript. Why? I don't know, but those people who want him to stop stonewalling are not wrong to see he is placing barriers between the voters and the truth.

Your comment about people with a half a brain is kind of obtuse, as you misread me. I am not making an insulting comment about your brain, but you might have picked the wrong example of how easy it is to understand what I am saying and why. You missed it.

I never heard of this baseball player and don't have any interest in the Orioles, but his beliefs do have some merit, and a deserves better treatment than the insults many here have heaped upon him.

Skeptics may not know the answer, but they often have a keen sense about incongruity in what they were told and shown.

1. Ridiculous, useless, pointless and clearly disproved with easily and quickly accessed information.

2. Don't know that much about it, but all the motives are there and the aftereffects are what would happen with a well implemented conspiracy. I don't believe it largely because I've never seen evidence that the government can be competent enough to pull it off.

3. See 2. I also doubt aliens would have succeeded in getting all the way here just to crash. (Making contact shortly after the first atomic bombs went off would actually make sense, though.)

4. All the motives are there, but the evidence overwhelmingly disproves the conspiracy.

5. We purposely antagonized Japan over their oil supply in the middle of a war, and, in the same situation, for the good of mankind, I would have too, even if it meant letting them preemptively attacking us. I have no idea if FDR knew if Pearl Harbor was coming, but for the sake of mankind, I'm glad he acted as he did if he was aware of an impending Japanese attack. This world would be a lot worse if he warned people, Japan then didn't attack, and we delayed entering the war for many more years without a galvanized public. I honestly think people who write this conspiracy theory off as absurd need to play some more Risk so they learn to think strategically.

From the quick google of Pope Joan, I find it extraordinarily unlikely. My point was you should not assume the collective "educated" perspective solely because it is such. Sometime in history, I guarantee there has been some uncovered conspiracy that we would find shocking if we cared enough about it.

So which hospital was it, or was he really born in Kenya? And why is this simple matter so confusing and disturbing?

Do a google search and plug in these key words:

Obama born Queen's Medical Center and then Obama born Kapiolani Medical Center in a Google search. You will see he is reported to be born in two different hospitals. A miracle!

What's so hard about knowing something so simple as which hospital or country someone was born in? And if it is simple, then why doesn't Barack Hussein Obama just present his original birth certificate to be analyzed and proven? The onus of proof is on him, not the American public.
