You have to give it to the SEC, so Auburn over Oregon until they can prove they belong.
Im looking forward to OhState playing Ark. THE OhSt hasnt beaten an SEC team since the 80's. Should be fun to watch.

Nevada didn't play Oregon State and Virginia Tech you f***ing moron. Would this be similar to when Boise got crushed by Oklahoma? Oh wait...
You mean the non-ranked Oregon State team and the Virginia Tech team that lost to James Madison the next week? Virginia Tech is a much better team than they were at the beginning of the season and if they played Boise now, they'd win no problem!
As for the SEC, the last 4 national champions were from the SEC, and you say the conference is overrated? Who's the moron? Look at the PAC 10, the only team to win from that conference was USC in 2004! ... And then you take shots at Cam Newton for reasons completely irellevant to his success! He has done nothing to increase his performance and everything he's done for Auburn, he has earned! If you watched him play this season, there is no one who you can say has earned the Heisman more than he has!! Your the idiot, just bitter because your team isn't as good as Auburn!
The most unfortunate problem with the game is that it is going to be 5 weeks away. Both teams right now are hot and it will be a very entertaining game. Having to wait that long can affect the quality of play by a lot. Here is hoping to both teams keeping things in check until then.
Auburn will blow out Oregon because they will dominate the time of possession with long drives resulting in touchdowns. Frailey will mess up Oregon's offense.
42 - 21 Auburn over Oregon
1 Auburn
2 Oregon
3 Stanford
4 Wisconsin
5 Ohio State
I could see any of 2 - 5 being able to beat each other but Auburn is too much for any of them because of how good Newton is. Newton is just too much for any defense to handle - a great passer and a great rusher. Only Newton can stop himself. He will be a top draft pick next year and I feel it is 50/50 that Auburn will have wins removed from the book after seasons end.
Auburn by 2 TDs minimum:
Auburn 51
Oregon 24
Against Alabama, 22 carries, 39 yards.Against Chattanooga, 8 carries, 24 yards. Some teams have held Newton easily. He is not too much as you think. Newton won't be able to much on the ground against Oregon. He'll only be average on the passing side, maybe 200-250 yards.Oregon 42, Auburn 21.

After watching 3 games a week ago: Nevada/Boise, Oregon/Zona, Auburn/Bama it's clear that the refs were helping out Oregon and Bama, while screwing Boise on multiple calls. However I do think Oregon/Auburn are deserving of playing in the NCG-being undefeated from a major conference speaks for itself; the the BCS system has turned college football into a joke. $cam Newton's situation is a joke too--any other guy would have been suspended. I think they could have a playoff and still maintain the bowl games. Say, match the top 8 teams against each other one week then re-rank them and have a semi-final and then a final-which is the BCS NCG. The losers can still play in BCS games for bragging rights but an undisputed national champion is more likely to arise. If TCU beats Wisco they will have a case for national champ this year. Also, if Oregon wins you could say Boise is the best team as they beat Oregon the last two years. I find it funny how the Boise homers keep the excuses "That was last year" and "VTech was bad at the start of the year." There are several teams that could beat anyone on any given day: Wisco, TCU, Boise, Stanford among them but one loss and the chance at being national champion is lost. Anyways, I'll rant more as the BCS games approach.

I am confused by your post. Auburn won both of those games and Cam Newton had 4 td's against Bama (1 rushing, 3 passing), scoring 3 of those in the 2nd half. Against Nooga they won 62 - 24 with Newton having 1 rushing td and 4 passing tds.
Bama knew he was a big threat with his rushing and passing and decided to focus on trying to stop him from rushing.
Stating that Newton is a great passer and rusher doesn't mean he is going to have great stats in both in each game. If you don't think the smarter teams are going to try and shut one of those aspects down, you are crazy. In addition, Newton appears to be smart enough to not force runs or throws when the other option is avaiable.
Personally, I think Newton is a typically college dick football player but he is damn good. The nfl will most likely humble him.
Auburn 49 Orego 21
Won't even be close. Auburn stays right with them the first half and dominates the second half.

Yes, this is my point, the NFL will bring down to earth.
Against Chattanooga Newton should have run for a lot more than 3 yards per carry. Against Alabama he was a ball hog, running when he couldn't pass and not gain much yardage.
If Newton is lucky he might be another Vince Young, a headcase who plays okay in the NFL. If Newton is unlucky he will be another JaMarcus Russell, a headcase out of the NFL.

Newton played only the first half against Chattanooga. Sure one would think he would have better ypr against them but it wasn't really a tough game and he was sacked for 26 yards as well. Against Alabama, he was sacked for almost 25 - 30 yards. He ran 5 straight run plays near the end of the game to run the clock down. He took over the game when it mattered most.
If Newton can get to the NFL healthy and have a level head, he will be way better than those 2 qb's. He and Terrel Prior are very similar with regard to athleticism. The main exception appears to be Newton is better at looking downfield when he scrambles and has a highly accurate arm.
Not an SEC fan nor an Auburn fan.
wanted to add that in the Chattanooga game here was the breakdown for Newton's 8 rushes for 24 yards:
3 for first downs
1 for a touchdown
1 for 14 yards but not a first down
3 for sacks
Can't say I saw the game but imagine they brought the heat to sack him.
I'm an Alabama fan so please understand that I hate Auburn and am no fan of Newton, but the guy is an unbelievable physical freak. Oregon has never seen anything like him, I can assure you. When you have your way with SEC defenses, it means something. Auburn will kill Oregon.

There's no real proof of this. Virginia Tech really didn't play a single good team except for Boise State this season. Yeah, they probably got better over the course of the season (since just about all teams do) but they did not prove anything against the competition in the ACC. Awful conference this year.
Auburn, but it's close. And Stanford is the best one-loss team in the country.
Take the under. The month off will make both teams sluggish. Auburn will come alive, again, in the second half.
Auburn 45
Oregon 24
I would have given Oregon a good chance until the Cal game. But Cal was a lousy team and Oregon never got it going. I'll go with Auburn by 10, and I'm a Pac10 guy.
beauty contests don't have titles, only coronations. the BCS is a beauty contest. hollywood tv picks the team with the most firm titties and anuses.
Oregon 44 Auburn 31
Top 5:
1)Oregon
2)TCU
3)Stanford
4)Wisconsin
5)Auburn
Auburn got down big to 'Bama, but the Tide couldn't close the door. Look for Oregon to keep putting up points and pull away. Also, Auburn has some close calls that make me second guess how good they are (Kentucky, Clemson most notably). The Ducks' offense is too potent for me to choose against them.
Fan of both but AU alum. Saw Ducks in person vs Stanford and Auburn vs Georgia. Saw 100% of AU games and 75% of Oregon but my take is Auburn is faster and stronger. Everyone thinks Oregon is so fast because the Pac 10 is not nearly as fast as the SEC.
Using a few top speed ops I compared both using dartfish and I don't see Ducks getting to the edge and working the option as well as they have all year. If Oregon is to win they will need to utilize short, quick passes.
In the end I think Auburn and Cam Newton pull away like they did yesterday from South Carolina and win 48-28.
Note, before everyone believes all the lies on Newton perhaps consider for a minute that the NCAA interviewed EVERYONE involved in the case at Ms St and still cleared Cam. Its because exagerrations that began as rumors I heard in mid-January kept getting spread around when people asked Ms St how they lost him. Rogers guy started the whole mess and Cam's dad bought in but when no one at State would play ball for money his dad decided the situation at Auburn was better in terms of experienced offensive line and Auburn OC Malzhan promised Cam he would get to throw it more and his dad feared he would end up like Tebow.
Oregon is going to hang 55 on Auburn. 55-24 total shock and awe. As for Auburn looking faster, it depends on what surface they play on. Oregon is faster and stronger besides they have the blessing of Phil Knight. Cam Newton is the next Jamarcus Russell, the best college QB is Andrew Luck at Stanford and he has TWO more years remaining. Also TCU will blow Wisconsin out.
