Marijuana, Reefer, Ganja....Should it be legal?

This is exactly right about leaving it up to a state. I agree, if the Feds don't want to touch it at least let the states do as they have a right to.

I should also point out, if anyone has the thought that if it is left up to the states then people will grow it in states where it is legal and then sell it in states where it is not, that the Feds could solve this potential problem by making it a Federal crime to transport marijuana into a state in violation of that state's laws. This is what is done with alcohol.

I live in California where marijuana is legal. It has not been a significant source of income for anybody, especially municipalities.

Emerald Triangle(the counties of Humboldt, Trinity and Mendocino, considered some of the best) black market dope before full legalization was about $3500 per pound, now it's about $800.

I has some serious dope smoking teammates in the 70s. One was a sub 2:20 marathoner and the other 14:05 5,000. Obviously they could run fast. On occasion, like at an off season road race, they would be smoking right up to the starting line. They were both amazed that even though they felt great they ran much slower. Both have become very successful in their fields.

No. Haven't the Boomers done enough damage? We should be safe to walk down the street without being harassed by druggies, safe in our own homes without the constant fear of break-ins and violence that many elderly people live with. Your liberties don't outweigh everybody else's.

I've never touched drugs but I hate the smell of marujuana. Horrible pungent, musty smell. I sometimes get a waft of it when I run through council estates, or fairgrounds.
