Looking back, I probably started celebrating a bit early!
All kidding aside, the race directors Matt Peterson and Douglas Bergmann (of Bergmann Marine, title sponsor who puts up the prize money amongst other things) did another excellent job of putting on this race, pulling together solid fields, and digging up sponsors to provide the athletes with lodging and travel money. The crowds were excellent again this year, and hopefully for many years this race will provide athletes with a great racing environment along with a unique and fun experience.

Right you are about Matt & Douglas! For CMU grads, they do a very nice job w/the Shay mile & Venetian Fest races.
