Maybe a handful?
Do you know how much it costs to have a former president speak at an event? He will make a ton in his lifetime.

Further proving how dumb this statement is...
No matter how much money Obama makes, he can get whatever he wants. definitely not true for rich celebrities.

Wrong. He can't get my respect. Boom Roasted!
also remember that he will be making his salary of $400k for the next 35-40 years too. so there is another $14,000,000-16,000,000 in future earnings....and that does not include the raises he will receive (or speaking, book deals, etc.). just simple math to make a point.
I find the tatoo sexy.
For what it's worth, my friend's a surgeon in an upscale county, and put the % of housewives with tattoo's at greater than 50%.

How can someone allegedly so spiritual be so vain?
Josh and Ryan Hall go to the Lighthouse church which, as I understand it, has links with Bethel church in Redding.
Bethel is as vacuous and shallow as church gets - man-centered and based more on experience than Scripture. It's all style and barely any substance. It's a real shame.
I pray for them both that they'd get themselves somewhere with some decent teaching.
But vanity and Bethel go hand in hand, sadly.
Regarding the tattoo, surely changing the omicron to a sigma and removing the tail of the existing sigma would cost a whole lot less and be a whole lot easier than getting all that done in the first place was.
That's a great observation, but you don't know either of them personally, so what is the point of your post? The church may appear man-centered, or vain to you, but you are also sounding WAY judgemental.

Actually, it should be "Iησοῦς," which is pronounced "Yaysous." Indeed Josh's tattoo is wrong, his has Iηoσuς, which would be "Yayosus." I think the key is what he meant to have tattooed, but I'm sure that is a little frustrating for him. Knowing Koine, aka Biblical Greek, I cringed a little when I first saw the tattoo. I'm sure he knows about the mistake by now, so maybe we should just let it go.
Actually, as a native speaker of modern Greek, I can tell you the pronunciation is "Eesoos."
He should have had "666" tattooed on his nads:
(1) It's really hard to misspell 666
(2) Satan always has you by the balls.

Oops. I know Josh personally and his is as genuine as they come. I don't know much about his church, but I do know his personal walk with Christ is his number one priority. Since many of you will blast that as being stupid, he also has a great heart and spends a ton of his time doing work for kids in Africa.
Lay off the guy. I am convinced most of the animosity toward him stems from the fact that a huge percentage of guys around here want to be just like him...but don't have the gift he does.

He IS a gift to womankind.
"Aren't the Jeuss the ones who sold him out to the Roamns?" great sense of humor.
But doesn't anyone ever read the Bible anymore? 'Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.'

I do not doubt Josh's faith nor his genuineness. I happen to think a lot of him.
My point was simply that the type of church he attends is all about style over substance. Bethel is a hideous church - hugley successful as a business, but full of emotionalism and lacking sound doctrine. Those kind of places cause a lot of harm.
It is because I think so much of Josh and Ryan that I regularly pray for them - that their faith would mature beyond that kind of thing. I wasn't bashing - I've been there. I grew up - I pray they will too.
