I will try and condense this as much as possible ... I am in University, graduating next year. A year and a half ago I started dating and international student. This relationship lasted a year, after which point I ended it because she was simply too needy and demanding. This lady has been diagnosed with a mild form of Bipolar II, fits the criteria for Histrionic Personality Disorder, and also seems to suffer from Little Emperor Syndrome (she is originally from mainland China). Of course, she figured we were destined to be together so she didn't handle the breakup very well. I anticipated and prepared for this, and feel that I did an admiral job to make it as easy as possible for her. Despite this, in the last 7 months she has harassed me in about every conceivable way, physically and mentally, in the name of reuniting our undying love ... She tells lies to mutual friends about the nature of of relationship (she was telling people we were still together for a very long time, recently put a stop to it). She sent out Christmas cards designed and decorated with pictures made to look like we were married. She stole my cellphone, refused to remove herself from my car, jumped in front of my car screaming and beating on the windshield in public. She interfered when I tired to see another girl. She lured me into her room took off her clothes and trapped me stating that she would not allow me to leave until I told her we were back together (not as much of a fantasy as it sounds) I could really go on for for a long time. She is rather attractive, especially in her native culture, and has had many boyfriends who have spoiled her. She can not conceive of the fact that I have no interest in her. She thinks that if she tried hard enough that she can convince me that we are meant to be together forever. The obvious course of action is to simply avoid contact with her, which I have been doing. I do not reply to emails or phone calls (though she called 40 times in 24 hours a few months ago) etc. However, we are living in a very small town, and she knows my class and work schedule, knows where I and my friends live, etc. She also manipulates the perspective of my colleagues and not so close mutual friends, and I feel that it is damaging my otherwise untarnished reputation. In a year, I am leaving this country and will hopefully be done with her for eternity. How can I stay alive until then?
