What kind of beer? Is Molson Canadian any good?
I like Kokanee. I think it's made in BC, too.

No, but you would be able to waddle...
Other Canadians
Some options for "authentic" Canadian food: tourtiere (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourti%C3%A8re) and yellow pea soup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pea_soup) are classic Canadian dishes. Actually, they (along with poutine) are Quebecois dishes, but that's the region with the strongest history of unique cuisine. If you're looking for a side dish, the pea soup could work well, even with the moose burgers.
Of course, anything with maple syrup is very Canadian. So if you're looking for a dessert other than donuts, you could have crepes with maple syrups. Or you could combine the two and have the classic maple-glazed donut, if they sell them wherever you are!
Nanaimo Bars
Evangaline Lilly
Molson is a part of Coors and Labatt is owned by Anheuser-Busch. It is moderately trendy to prefer Canadian beer, but the reality is the varieties available in the US taste pretty much like Miller/Coors/Bud et al. Not a coincidence.
A canadian beer like Alexander Keith's would be be a good thing to serve... although it is east coast.

Yumm! I'd forgotten about Nanaimo bars. I like the crepes with maple syrup idea too. Had mixed feelings about serving donuts to guests.

Thanks, Alexander Keith's sounds more like my taste than the mainstream brews. Wonder if I can find it on the West Coast?
since the games are being held in Vancouver I suggest Sushi. Vancouver has most Sushi places per capita in the world.
Molson Canadian and Labatts and all those macro brewery beer are all the same urine in a can, like Coors. All international companies, Budweiser, it's all disgusting.
Google:
Hermannator from Vancouver Island Brewery. The finest double ice-bock beer in the world - earth's heavenly nectar.
On the BC coast:
Howe Sound Brewery
Vancouver Island Brewery
Phillips Brewery
Driftwood Brewery
Drink craft brewery beer, it's healthier, tastier and made by local people, making and spending money locally.
Serve up some Beaver. Serve up some baby seal. Polar Bear gall bladders are pretty awesome.
We can't grow vegetables because it is too cold - always frozen tundra, so quite often we import vegetables from China. It arrives quicker than from the US.
The galls as we call them, just place them across a pan, cover with a hell of a lot of garlic and some vineger. Let is sit for two days at room temperature (50 degrees F) and then bake really fast at hot, which is about 105F that's very hot. 105 really warms up the igloo fast.

While I appreciated your micro brew ideas, I'm pretty sure baby seal are protected in all of North America, so I'll pass on that one. But thanks for your creative culinary spirit...

Is that pic you Mrs. M? You're looking good for an old broad!
I'll still pass on the seal.
Oh geez, if I'd known Olympic Menu was you, I'd've never posted seal recipes...you know how to boil animals already!
Mrs. M., I would appreciate it if you would cease with dispensing libelous remarks about people you don't know. When you are willing to hear my husband's and my side of this issue, feel free to make your judgements, until then, please STFU.
And congrats on ruining yet another thread.
You're very welcome.
Beer and back bacon, eh. Take off ...
