Also, isn't part of a normal relationship to do things your significant other wants to do even if you aren't that interested? Seems to me that he was just being a good boyfriend and then he recognized just how unique Precious Moments is and wanted to share it on letsrun.
You seem like you need to get out more if you source of entertainment is making fun of "Tools" on letsrun.
I hear they might be closing that place down. I know they have already closed the Fountain Show and no longer allow the public it see the wedding chapel.
When you say Precious Moments, are you referring to the Precious Moments collectible statues, or is this the name of a place?
Yeah, so you suck it up and make the best of it and don't cry about it on Letsrun.
There is an inspirational theme park outside Carthage, MO that is inspired by the collectible statues.

At the back wall of the Chapel is its defining mural, Hallelujah Square. It depicts a new dead child being welcomed to heaven by Timmy Angel. Other dead children angels hold signs saying "Welcome To Your Heavenly Home." The sign with "Welcome" written on it is held wrong side up, as cute children will sometimes do. Others in Hallelujah Square romp and frolic. In the exact center of the mural is a ministering Christ. He is the only adult depicted in the chapel.

I certainly am not lampooning the Precious Moments Chapel. It is truly an inspirational and healing place.
Is Carthage close to the Missouri Southern Lions? They have a pretty good Cross Country Team..... for a bunch of babies.
Ill drink to that. Gotta love Southern Illinois or as I refer to it as "Kentucky North". All of the shitty aspects of the south without the charm.

Southern is just up the road, and yes they're not a bad team although I've never been a huge fan. Guess I can't hate on em' too much though. Any school that gets runners to come in spite of em' being in a small town (for a really run of the mill education at that) deserves some degree of props.

You have no idea of how much lame stuff is out there along the highways. For starters, there's the Corn Palace (http://www.wow-fun.com/corn-palace-topper.jpg) in South Dakota. There's Carhenge (http://www.carhenge.com/) in Nebraska. The Worlds Largest Ball of Twine. The list goes on and on.
Seriously, why do people bother with this stuff.

Some of this stuff is so Americana-crazy it can be pretty bad-ass. Stop for lunch, down a few beers(or six), head to the loony tourist attraction and just marvel at the weirdness. Marvelous. Also, I'm pretty neutral on Missouri but when driving east you know you're in Missouri when all the billboards suddenly advertise highway exit strip joints and video rentals, and you can buy a fifth of anything at the fuel stop convenience store. A little weird.
