Official Footlocker prediction thread. Who ya got?

Midwest winners Verzbicas and Goethals for the wins. Goethals has run solid times on really tough days weather-wise (or mud-wise in the case of FLMW). Lukas literally appeared to be on a tempo run last Saturday and jogged across the line. He should be fresh and ready to roll in San Diego.

I love all the NXN reps coming on Letsrun and posing as HS kids or just avarage fans, ripping on Footlocker and then accusing real, actual fans of being "Footlocker employees" or something. (This was mainly done on another thread) Nice tactics, you Nike a-holes ought to go into politics! I hate Nike so, so much and will never buy another product of theirs after what they're trying to do to Footlocker. Congrats Nike, our sport WAS the only one to have an individual national championship and you're well on your way to ruining that. Big ups to FL on not caving in when Nike wanted to buy your meet. Hopefully people will start to recognize what's really going on and more coaches will steer their elite kids toward FL. Make NXN a team meet only, else I hope it dies as quickly as possible. Right now the vast majority of elite runners still go to FL, but the balance is tipping thanks to people like the Rosas.

I don't work for Nike and I happen to think FL blew it like some other poster said. They had the chance to add the team element and they did not. Now Nike is stepping in to fill the void and make one team & individual championship (like NCAA) as there always should have been. Don't assume just because someone disagrees with you or criticizes FL that the person is a Nike plant. Jeez.

What's wrong with tradition and perceived prestige? That's good for the sport as well.

Lucas can run hills. Last year(as a Freshman)he broke Len Sitko's course record at the Argo Invite that had stood for over 20 years. Also, I've seen bikers do well in stair climbs and on hills.

I saw him at FLMW and he looked like he could have run much faster if he had to.

A little hint on south surprise Brandon Lord, he got 4th at the mountain world running championships. He won his state meet by over 30 seconds on a hilly course. He dropped a 14:51 at Footlocker South. He's been running for a year and half and his p.r.s in track are 9:15 and 4:15. I wouldn't count him out of a good top 8 finish at Footlocker. Just because the Rosas and Zach Wills aren't racing footlocker doesn't mean footlocker isn't the better race. Lutz, Verzbicas, Erassa, Moskowitz, along with others there's plenty of competition at FLN.

I assume you are referring to my posts in the other thread. For the record:

--I am not affiliated with Nike in any way. I have taken them to task for other (unrelated) issues.

--It is a fact that FL employees post on these threads (as I am sure Nike reps and meet directors do as well). My issue isn't with those folks posting, it is the willful dissemination of false information.

--As far as NXN v. FL goes, I have been clear that I would have loved to see a combined championship but--and let me make this clear once again--Footlocker not Nike is at fault for that.

A high school team championship is stupid. Athletes cannot chose their HS teams, so that contest is unfair and senseless. I understand that teams like to run together, but teammates can do that if they're both/all good enough to race in a national championship.

Shrader ftw, with Lukas and Lutz close behind. Sveinsson with a kick over Goethals, then Cuffe, then Grabill.

Miles will be top 5.

Maybe wait till foolocker west?
