Clearly the war against Islam is a political war. At a time when we like to think all Americans treat people fairly, given that relative equality was achieved
1940s Italians/Irish/Catholic
1950s Jews
1960s Orientals
1970s Blacks/Hispanics
1980s Vietnamese/Indians
Yet, the U.S. today remains totally prejudiced and biased against Arabs, Persians, and Islam. It doesn't matter how long they have been in the U.S. The domestic villification and harassment of these minorities is sickening. Many longtime U.S. residents are locked up in prisons and tortured. The U.S. government and military dehumanizes them then commits genocide in their home countries. It's criminal.
Recently the Oakland SWAT team was allowed to recuse themselves from entered a buliding where earlier his year several Oakland PD officers were killed. The local Sheriff Dept handled the incident instead.
The U.S. gov't need to change the law to allow soldiers to recuse themselves from undeclared wars and political police actions in order to allow good American soldiers the opportunity to serve our country. The Pentagon should allow recusals in situations where soldiers have a conflict of personal beliefs.
