Yep all the stress fractures and IT band flare ups 90% of runners go through is strong proof that humans were not designed for that much running, at least the amount we are giving ourselves credit for for being supposedly near the top of the heap in the animal kingdom. We are talking about the best of the humans too in terms of running, the ones that actually get themselves off the couch. Animals though might be tough mofos that don't complain much about IT band flare ups and stress fractures though.
