Malone should win. Southern Oregon has gotten some love from the voters, but when it comes down to it, you have to bet on the guys who know how it's done. I'll pick Aquinas as my dark horse though. Good luck to everyone going.

Wow buddy, chill out. I said nothing against their little national meet or them getting pumped up. I simply asked what NAIA stood for. Saying that you run DI is not saying much, pal. There are 27+ minute 8kers in DI just as there are in any other division. But statistically the chances are, I could kick your ass any day at anything above the 1500. If you are one of the few in the DI that are faster than me this year, congrats and I'll see you either this weekend or, if you are not in my region, the 23rd.
Pathetic and Charming Charlie can both you guys post your real names/team info so the lets run community can witness your duel(we'll look up your results). Come on don't be pu$$ies.
SOU got some love about mid-season when they ran a phenomenal race at Willamette, beating #3 Embry-Riddle by a short margin. Embry-Riddle at that time had been posting better performance than a year ago when they ultimately ran very well at nationals.
I think SOU has dropped off some since Willamette. College of Idaho finished very close to them which help them move up in the rankings to #8.
However, Malone took it to another level in their conference race crushing Shawnee who had beaten Aquinas on Aquinas' course and had previously finished very close to Malone.
My predictions are
1. Malone
2. Southern Oregon
3. Aquinas
4. Embry-Riddle
5. Shawnee State
Shawnee actually lost to Aquinas but a point or 2 at the Great Lakes Invite Aquinas hosts. However ever Aquinas did lose their conference meet to Cornerstone on Aquinas's home course 2 weeks later.

I'll take Holy Names University as my darkhorse.
Holy Smoly, ur a dumby. there is no way that Holy Names can win, and your on here trying to make a mochary of them. ur such a prick....
So Who is the individual champion favorite for the men's and women's race? Anybody standout to anybody.
The mens individual has to be between Kemei, Kisorio and Magut. The women probably between Kipwambok and Mudy.
Has it always been one team from each conference makes it in? It's a shame it seems like a lot of good teams just outside the top 25 didn't make the vote, while some schools that are completely outside the rankings are put in just for being conference champion. It's disheartening knowing that teams like Kansas Wesleyan, Dana College and William Woods who could definately compete in the field, are left out of the race.

First of all, very rarely, even during regional qualifying did a team outside the top 25 make it in. You are dead on about some really crappy teams getting in because of conference qualifying. In my mind, it makes the NAIA look horrible! I am not sure that KW or Dana or WW are of a national calibur however.
The NAIA selection for this race doesn't make any sense to me. There are some teams in that race ONLY because they are the winners of some of the worst conferences in that organization. The teams just outside the top 25 could be much more competitive in that race. The system they have allows some of the worst teams to compete at nationals. Teams that aren't even close to the top 25 rankings make it. There are a handful of schools that have consistently been ranked close to the top 25 all season and it seems somewhat unfair that they sit out while some other less qualified athletes go in to compete.
To me, this is not a good representation of the best in the NAIA.
Will any of the Malone guys battle for the top 3 spots or maybe be Sam Vasquez since he is a former Razorback. I was wondering who the longshots are for the top 3 or 5 spots.
For the Women's race I would agree that it will probably be Jackey Kipwambok to win the women's race. I think that the rain on the course is going to play a big factor since it will be raining all week.
does anyone know if the race will be televised or online somewhere?
