Even with the two NCAA titles being taken away (for a ride from the airport and a tutor? really?) I don't think Coach Henry will surpass McDonnell. A&M might win again for the next year or two with the guys he has now, but I don't know if he will be able to keep 4 triple jump finalists, which was over a third of his points. If he can get one or two NCAA scorers in a distance event, I think he will come very close.
Him for not going with some distance guys. He Must have given close to 3 scholarships 2 those 2 aussies and tyson david. David ends up at alabama and the other 2 bomb.
still, if he has a good 800/1500 guy and a good 5k/10k guy (which still could be only 1.5-2 scholarships) then that could add anywhere from 5-15 points potentially at NCAAs, which could make up for losing 2-3 triple jumpers (which are probably taking up 2-3 scholarships).
either way, its going to be very hard for him to catch Mac
Any way you slice and dice it, it's hard to imagine anyone approaching Henry or McDonnell.
He needs to get one top notch distance guy that can score in two events.
Why? His team just won Nationals.

It's a bit more than an impermissible tutor -- the tutor was the sister-in-law of an assistant coach, and the assistant single-handedly arranged for the recruit to take a correspondence course (and arranged proctoring of exams). Considering the coach was Lance Brauman and the recruit was Tyson Gay, and Gay would not have been eligible without the course, then yeah, really.
He will surpass 40 championships. They have a good staff, one of the finest facilities in the country and they are in a state with some of the best sprinters, jumpers and hurdlers in the country. All he needs to say is "we win" and the kids will come.
Take away Tyson's points and Arkansas still wins the Championship. Really, douchebag.
