Ignoring the rest of your post, Nike is doing a massive Livestrong foundation promotion this coming year. Livestrong themed shoes/apparel/equipment with a portion of the proceeds going to the Livestrong foundation. This commercial is intended to sell Livestrong gear, not just any Nike stuff.

If I want to donate to cancer, I'll donate to cancer. I dont have to buy Nike or Live Strong products to do that. BTW, what % goes to fight cancer??? It looks like only about 10-16% goes to cancer victims; the rest goes for ????

I'm not saying he cheated or not... but I think some people are forgetting the fact that its impossible to believe that a man who's body was withered to nothing biulding his muscle back with one sport in mind and training perfectly for it for years would do nothing but give him the perfect physical make up for that sport. Its completely undeniable that the person perfect engineered for cycling is going to be the best at it and 99% of the people in the Tour are not perfect physical specimens for cycling (lance essentially being the 1%). Thats the main reason why he is good, if he did drugs then that just pushed him to be equal to the other 100 cyclists in the Tour who have and his physical make up made him better.
And you are the definition of a jack*ss if you can't see that cancer research is good... and Livestrong supports cancer research!!! Hooray for that amazing logic!!! Its a brilliant way to support cancer research because you get something other than self-satisfaction and money goes to research. And anyone who is rooting for cancer over a cure/better treatment can stop posting because you're opinions (about anything) are invalid and don't matter. That would mean you have proven that you lack the capacity to think coherently.

This is known as brand building and brand association. Its about taking your brand beyond cheap shoes and shorts and connecting with people on a different level and inspiring. If they achieve this then they have succeeded and boosted their brand. Having a strong brand allows you to charge more for your products.
It's kind of how the world works, except for some snarky letsrun guys.

I wasn't cheering (or tearing up) for Lance on that video. I was cheering for the cancer survivors on it. I saw a commercial that might add to cancer awareness a little more, not get people to buy Nikes (or Lance).
