the mtn west conference was a slow tactical race too... they went 67, then 71... and then the top 3 pulled a 44 for the next 300 and a 53 final lap.
oh and this was at 7200 feet.

i am just saying this cause even a very tactical race (run in a conference that would be considered below the big 10) ran 4 seconds faster at 7200 feet.... gives you an idea how slow the big 10 meet was... or how fast the mwc was?

See, Bolas and Miller didn't run the Big Ten Mile indoors, for varying reasons. Sub 3:38 can get your attention. If it was such a good strategy, why didn't Switzer repeat it?
